Indeed. Got wheel spin on 0-60 time, despite it being dry n quite warm!

Bugger that's quick! Especially for a 306!
Would be interesting to compare to a Stage 3 HDI and a similar bhp/spec GTI6/Rallye!

HDi would be good but would be pointless comparing a similar bhp petrol to it on a 30-70. Diesels are all about low down torque. Petrols certainly aren't lol

Fair enough Niall, a Low Boost 6 then Tongue Can tell Piggy's using a big turbo from the big spool/wait until it starts pulling properly, must be a nightmare in the wet or snow!
Thanks given by:
No what i mean is, at 30mph in third in a 6 you are at about 2000-2500 rpm which is a right dead spot for a petrol yet for a similar position for a diesel, its going to take off. If it was 30-70 in any gear then you'd probably have more of a chance.
This is why i don't see the need for these battles between the two when they occur. They are two completely different beasts lol

As you can see though I am off the torque in 3rd at 30mph tbh with no load.
If I load it (left foot brake) it goes even better but I felt that was cheating.
Same with 0-60, theres more there but I don't wana kill my clutch/box etc for the sake of half a second

A price that everyone would probably laugh at!?

Haha. If someone came along with £2.5k I'd be tempted...but wouldnt we all?! lol

2.5k?! You must have put into the car at least double that! Surely youd want more than 2.5k

No boost...

Assume my wiring/setup/pipework being at fault.

Bit of testing later...

Turns out its the german/vw 'reliable' part that failed!

Spare one fitted and we have boost below 3k rpm again!

May have a go at recording the low boost see what its like after seeing this

I do agree that the whole willy waving exercises are a bit pointless, but surely you'd just use 2nd if trying to pull away from 30mph quickly?
This post is an artistic work of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted above as fact.

I really like the list of cars you have researched that share 5.5 sec 0-60 times. Shows you're not fussed about the figures.

Pick any gear...
I'm still going to destroy a gti6, low boost or no boost.

This just makes the whole thing so unattractive.

The way I see it is fair play you've built a car which is quick, you should be proud of that.

The willy waving throwing figures around, 'my car's faster than yours' type comments just make you seem like a cock.

You always say you don't care what everyone thinks but you absolutely do as you need everyone to know that your car has the same 0-60 as a Bentley & that you would 'destroy' a Gti6.

I love the car, it's awesome. Just stop bragging all the time, we get it.. you've got a quick diesel.

But I'm not willy waving...!? (It wouldnt be so much a wave anyway Undecided ) Well I guess I am bragging a bit... But sorry JJ, you would too!
I don't care about book times etc, or I would have been down the 1/4mile with all the other boyzzz.

I only did the times/video because people kept on at me for them! And don't forget the dozen or so people who follow this thread on 306oc don't allow for the others who only watch my videos... So info like what other cars compare is useful to them.

What happened to banter?! Seems fine in every other thread on here but this one.

Chill pill people. Take one quick!

I am a bit dumb to be honest as i havent found figures for acceleration for low boost gti6...

I am honestly curious
