Long time since I've updated this!
I've not made a hell of a lot of progress with the car in all honesty, I've not really been feeling the love I've got a small list of things to do and an ever-growing pile of parts to fit, but just don't have the enthusiasm. I've been happy to help other people with their cars lately but just really don't seem to want to sit down and work on this! That said, I'm trying to kick myself into gear and actually start getting shit done now, so I'm going to list the bits I have to do and aim to get tick them all off in the next 2 months: - MeyleHD wishbones with swampy pinch bolts to fit - Unscratched astor front bumper - Quickshift - Solid rear beam mounts - Phase 1 GTi seats - Refit exhaust - Black masks Beam mounts are a priority I think as they're creaking really badly, but they're one of the larger jobs on the list so think I'll need to get the bacon in and enlist the help of some of the London lot I'm also considering selling the Turinis, as while I do absolutely love them, I'm quite enjoying having the C5 'steels' on at the moment and think I'd be able to make better use of the money from them elsewhere. Sorry about the lack of photos, this is the only one I've taken recently which shows how neglected its been

It's a gay colour & the turinis are just taking up space in your garage - I don't mind taking everything off your hands if it's all getting too much to handle.
05-02-2013, 11:51 PM
I don't think the turinis are taking up much space in the garage! Its everything else!!
05-02-2013, 11:53 PM
It's half of Vaughan's old car, your seats, and load of other shit in there! I'll be putting up another clear-out thread gone, so much stuff I don't need/want.

Yeah but that's only because you've got more than one place to put it

Scotty, get some dates down and I don't mind coming up to help! Let's get the car all up together for summer; I bet you anything you'll fall back in love with it again
I've massively lost the love over winter. Imo the weather has been a big factor; when it's pissing down with rain for weeks on end it's hard to get any motivation, and there's no motivation to make it look good by cleaning it cause it'll just get dirty within 5miles again due to the quantity of shit on the roads currently. Persevere; the weather wont be long before it starts to get better, the evenings will get longer and you'll find you have more time for it again Also, can you make sure you put my plate back on when you drop the car down to me this weekend. It's really inconvenient having to store yours whilst using the car. People ask questions man.

My Offside beam mount is creaking like a bitch. Either that or it's the beam itself? I fecking hope not (got no camber etc.)
When the weather cheers up you'll find the love again. It's not fun being a car guy at this time of year Disclaimer: The above is not to be taken to heart and is probably a joke, grow up you big girl.
06-02-2013, 11:26 AM
I'm hoping it's the beam mounts, as the beam itself was rebuilt around September time with brand new bearings etc. There's no camber or anything on it so I'm hopeful

Lol, you mean set out to fit everything and end up only fitting the wishbones after a massive f*ck-on during the course of which you break several tools, and end up finishing the fitting in the dark cause it took twice as long as it should have for no discernable reason other than it's a Peugeot?

Jonny although it looks awesome, the engine troubles are a bit off-putting!
Cheers Lewis, the tail-pipe (or lack thereof) also looks pretty ratty, so it does actually fit the whole look I reckon. That said, I'm off tomorrow so providing it's dry and not freezing outside I'll probably give it a good wash!
07-02-2013, 11:38 PM
Come do mine too? It hasn't been washed since the Chichester meet
07-02-2013, 11:39 PM
When was that? I think I've washed it once since June!

It was sunny? So that narrows it down to about 3 days... Can't remember to be honest! Think it may have been in June... so you've done better than me haha
08-02-2013, 09:29 AM
It was September surprisingly!
Sun in June? Haha!

Vaughan called it pretty well there, didn't get it done in the end as I had loads of other shit to do including preparing for the new job today and then the weather went a bit shit. However I'm getting some more bits to make my list even longer and make this car even more win for the summer.
