I don't have a decent picture. I was too busy crying.
But as said on Saturday it looks awesome. And does look sweet when following up the road

Haha, awesome.
When I hit the deck on that speedbump it didn't feel like it would come off
I actually remember reversing and then realising you'd stopped, turning to Katie and saying "what's he doing?" "yep, the bastards taking pictures"

Tis looking good mate. Height is not to my taste but I appreciate that it looks good.
Your headlight covers are in the wrong place, what happens is when you work under the bonnet you tend to lean on them, which is why you have a gap behind the headlight covers and the bonnet. If you open the bonnet and give the headlights a little tug from the back (pulling upwards) you should get them flush with the bonnet again.

I didn't realise what was taking you so long on that first bit of what i thought was flat concrete, didnt realize there was a slight 30mm dip haha, When you get the chance get a measurement from the centra rails to the floor im curious what clearance you have, i have 80mm so im guessing yours is about 50mm

Haha, yeah, what you on about... it was massive! . Okay will do tomorrow when it's back on the deck, it's up on stands to fit the exhaust at the moment...
Oh, and it does have a cat! Damn. Will also measure that tomorrow and get one ordered at some point.

I'm paying 800 TPF&F, it's an Eunos though not an MX-5. If you do, pick one up before summer (now would be ideal) otherwise when the sun comes out prices will shoot up...
Guarantee if you drive one, you'll want one... They're so much fun, it's the instant turn-in I think I noticed first.

No, Eunos is the JDM version of the MX-5, but Brentacre didn't care that it's an import. Mine's a 1.6, UK and JDM versions come with different engines and spec

Imports are infinitely better, but some insurance companies can sting you more for an import model.
JDM models typically have more options and better specs.

Yeah Brentacre didn't care mine was an import, same price. But a lot do... I'm happy with the spec of mine, only thing I'm missing really is the boot release (won both cables and bracket with pulls for £1.04 just got to fit it...) and central locking, which I keep forgetting.
So got the exhaust fitted today, bit of a pain as the cat wouldn't separate from the centre section... So instead of inevitably snapping the studs on the cat, I removed it whole and went to MX5 Parts andd bought this:
As I was going to fit one anyway figured I'd just get it done now.
All fitted:
Sounds awesome, hopefully get better when it beds in too.
Took a a few pics of their demo car running 230bhp when I picked up the decat too:

Really? Mine seem fine, but then I like loud... and this isn't really. Nor is it raspy, it's deep and aggressive. Yeah I could spend all day in there... it's all far too tempting. I was on lunch though so couldn't hang around. Yeah it's spotless isn't it! Turbo kit looks good, but you'd hope so for £1800...

Im sure mine didn't really quieten it down due to the dual exhaust and only a back box and straight centre pipe. I also had the same problem with the cat bolts had to take it all off in one then cut them off (i think i need my cat for MOT)
For 1800 i would expect the pipe work to be a bit neater, what always annoys me is how everyone routes the turbo outlet up rather than down, seems far too messy.

I would like to hear yours in person as I've heard good things about the MX5 Parts exhausts. Ah right must be common for them to seize then... What year's yours again? I'm lucky in that deportment as mine's ancient .
Yeah it is a lot of money and for that you'd want to be 100% happy, i know what you mean.
Couple more deliveries today, first up:
Momo Prototipo 20mm dish, another bargain eBay item.
It was pretty grubby though...
So gave it a going over with some compound, leather cleaner and leather conditioner:
Also, here you are Chris... I pulled the lids up so they sit a bit more flush:
Second arrival was a bootlid, so I can smooth a ducktail in as it'll need spraying anyway. Just got to get one now...

Winnnn. Much better with the aligned headlights. You'll have to take me out in this next time I'm down, can't wait to see it!
Actually maybe I shouldn't, I'll want one even more at that point.

Haha go for it
As I found today though, new exhaust doesn't like cambered roads. Or small stones. Or bumps.
Yeah man, love the new wheel. Only issue is it doesn't fit the boss so new one ordered.
Oh really? That'd be awesome cheers!

Headlights look proper now
My work here is done, lol.
Any plans for the front number plate? Either stick-on or import / offset style?
