Project Babyliss - Curt - 15-11-2012 That's right, another one Needs some tidying, but for the price I paid I'm not complaining. Important thing is, the sills are solid and arches are rust free! First thing is a mop to try and salvage the paint a bit. Plus get rid of the horrible steering wheel, gear knob and quick shift (it's stupidly notchy). Long term plans are: Coilies Dish Paint Turbo/supercharger Exhaust Roll cage Already has a K&N and a strut brace. Going to do the clutch soon as the release bearing is noisy and give it a general going over/service. Think it's been fairly abused for the past couple of years. Cheers RE: Project Babyliss - Matt - 15-11-2012 Thank f*ck for that! Do you know how hard it's been keeping quiet about this! Haha think you hold drive it down to me so I can have a nosey haha Get boosting already! RE: Project Babyliss - Ed Doe - 15-11-2012 f*ck that mustve been lively in the recent dampness with spec2s on the rear!! Does look like a cool project though, looking forward to the turbo!! It's not too bad, haven't exactly been pushing hard though... Yeah hopefully, looking forward to it all myself! Forgot to say it also came with a apparently 3 week old hood too RE: Project Babyliss - Dum-Dum - 15-11-2012 stick and XUD in it. RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 15-11-2012 Get out. RE: Project Babyliss - Ed Doe - 15-11-2012 f*cking lol! RE: Project Babyliss - samass - 15-11-2012 interesting. thought you might have been another to join the salon brigade after you post in that mx 5 thread... i can you doing some good things with this, will watch with interest! *ee, i can SEE you doing some nice things, fucks sake, need to learn how to not forget words.... RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 15-11-2012 Haha, cheers Sam! Yeah there was a subtle hint in that thread Hopefully, if all goes to plan! I have a lot of them... Pretty excited too haha RE: Project Babyliss - samass - 15-11-2012 *cough*rollcage*cough* RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 15-11-2012 That is definitely on the cards! I actually thought I put it on my list... RE: Project Babyliss - samass - 15-11-2012 yes!! rollcage would look chronic win RE: Project Babyliss - C.A.R. - 15-11-2012 Get yourself on mx5nutz if you're not already! Even for the classified ads alone, it's a JDM goldmine... Has it got any kind of rear strut brace? Runs along behind the seats if it has. A rollbar is a nice edition, reduces creaks from the rear and stiffens things up, whilst making you feel a little safer at least! RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 15-11-2012 Yeah already on there and been trawling! Don't think it has no... That's definitely a plan, but it's pretty far down the list at the moment. I think a welder is next hehe RE: Project Babyliss - C.A.R. - 15-11-2012 Haha, a welded diff isn't all that tbh mate, if you can wait then a proper LSD makes the car much more driveable and smoother in the corners, but I guess if it's a secondary car it won't be so much of an issue. The rear strut bar should be quite cheap as a short term solution as most rollbars mean it needs to be removed, going rate is about £20 for the brace. I will own another one of these some day! RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 16-11-2012 The welders actually for some minor repair work haha. I'm in no rush for an LSD, like you say. Fair play, I'll keep an eye out for one then. It's great fun, I've wanted one for ages. Yours was a nice one! RE: Project Babyliss - C.A.R. - 16-11-2012 Just saw this posted on Pistonheads, but this is what you're looking out for strengthening the rear! RE: Project Babyliss - cwspellowe - 16-11-2012 Would stiffen the rear and certainly stiffened my front, what a bombshell! RE: Project Babyliss - Matt - 16-11-2012 Damn shes fine, almost blew my load! RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 16-11-2012 cheers Chris RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 16-11-2012 When I said it didn't have one, I may not have looked properly... RE: Project Babyliss - Matt - 16-11-2012 Your such a douche haha RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 16-11-2012 Well, I didn't expect it to be just sitting there! But yeah okay RE: Project Babyliss - Matt - 16-11-2012 Haha learn to look more then although saves you more money as you won't need to buy one RE: Project Babyliss - Curt - 16-11-2012 Shh you . Yes very true, my watch list is full of far to much stuff I want to buy but shouldn't RE: Project Babyliss - Matt - 16-11-2012 Mines the same, deleted the eBay app as it was making me skint every month haha RE: Project Babyliss - samass - 16-11-2012 here's an idea for you... Another: I prefer this rear end: Although probably single exit RE: Project Babyliss - Matt - 16-11-2012 Not keen on that spoiler.... RE: Project Babyliss - C.A.R. - 16-11-2012 That's the rear spoiler I had Looked mint. |
