That's right, another one
Needs some tidying, but for the price I paid I'm not complaining.
Important thing is, the sills are solid and arches are rust free!
First thing is a mop to try and salvage the paint a bit. Plus get rid of the horrible steering wheel, gear knob and quick shift (it's stupidly notchy).
Long term plans are:
Coilies
Dish
Paint
Turbo/supercharger
Exhaust
Roll cage
Already has a K&N and a strut brace.
Going to do the clutch soon as the release bearing is noisy and give it a general going over/service. Think it's been fairly abused for the past couple of years.
Cheers

It's not too bad, haven't exactly been pushing hard though...
Yeah hopefully, looking forward to it all myself!
Forgot to say it also came with a apparently 3 week old hood too

Get yourself on mx5nutz if you're not already! Even for the classified ads alone, it's a JDM goldmine...
Has it got any kind of rear strut brace? Runs along behind the seats if it has. A rollbar is a nice edition, reduces creaks from the rear and stiffens things up, whilst making you feel a little safer at least!

Yeah already on there and been trawling! Don't think it has no... That's definitely a plan, but it's pretty far down the list at the moment. I think a welder is next hehe

Haha, a welded diff isn't all that tbh mate, if you can wait then a proper LSD makes the car much more driveable and smoother in the corners, but I guess if it's a secondary car it won't be so much of an issue.
The rear strut bar should be quite cheap as a short term solution as most rollbars mean it needs to be removed, going rate is about £20 for the brace.
I will own another one of these some day!

The welders actually for some minor repair work haha. I'm in no rush for an LSD, like you say.
Fair play, I'll keep an eye out for one then.
It's great fun, I've wanted one for ages. Yours was a nice one!

Just saw this posted on Pistonheads, but this is what you're looking out for strengthening the rear!

Yeah this does seem quite popular... I'm not convinced. Another:
I prefer this rear end:
Although probably single exit
