Well as some will know I recently bought a P2 black dtub. Mechanically in very good nic. She has 130k on the clock but had a D8A engine fitted 5k ago which had 78k on it. Bit of rust on the bonnet but not too bad.
Here are the pics from when I got it home:
Immediately started swapping bits!
Bosch swap
Beam change
Also wasnt happy with the state of the wheels so had them refurbed and powder coated
How she looks today
Plans are to P3 the front end (bumper, bonnet, light etc.) Refit FMIC. Fit TD04. Colour code all the rub strips door handles etc.
Thoughts opinions please chaps!

After using my mums car and the a/c these past few days... no one has a good enough reason to remove it, its far far better than opening a window lol /canofworms

Cheers for the comments guys!
Ive never had a car with a/c so dont really feel like I'm loosing out, lol!
It already had a bosch pump on it being a D8A block so I only had to change over the pump, but a pretty easy job tbh if you are handy with the spanners.
Got some bargains from the scrappy today, new bonnet, p3 bumper, new grille and crystals for.........£30!!!! They are currently moonstone but my bro in law is gona show me how to use a air paint gun next weekend so ill get some progress pics up then.

Looks tidy. Must admit I really don't like white alloys, think these would definitely look better in silver.

Well after several months of hdi ownership I bought the dt back!!!
Here is how she looked when I got her home
The cyclones are a bit of a mess but I still have the challengers so they will get bolted back on soon, they need balancing but there are more important things to do first......
Some may have picked up on the fact that I acquired some major Lobb hardware a month or so ago and it is now time to put it all to good use!! Yes thats his full charger setup and turbo relocation manifolds!!!
So, last weekend work began...
At my brother in laws (Matt who came with me to fcs) taking some before pics
Decided that rather than fas around with manifold bolts in the car it would be much easier to just take the engine out and work on it out of the car
Front end off, lining up the hoist
And it's out, the father in law and Matt standing around!!!
Empty engine bay!
More coming!!
The block with the td04 still attached
Proper manifold on!
Starting on the charger brackets!
Mental pulley setup which did get sacked off in the end to keep the power steering pump.
Then there was a bit of a gap in picture taking as the bttery died but go the engine back in last weekend and started routing cooler piping today.
And finally shiny turbo!!!
Thats where I got to today.
Still to do, wiring loom, exhaust, extending water pipes, turbo oil drain, sort something with the header tank
Thanks for reading, should be another update tomorrow!!

Haha! I bet it does!! Its the small things that have taken the longest really like hoses and cables. etc. No idea where to mount the header tank yet or try and get a stainless one but they are pricey
