Edit: just read the bit about it being second hand. Did you clean the flywheel up before fitting?

TBH I didn't clean my flywheel haha, mines fine. You probably have a huge amount more torque than me though, so i think you just need to be careful for a while.

Well that sounds like grannying already then lol.

I know there's a huge torque difference but on rowells estate the flywheel was rusty and we didn't clean it up at all, took a week or so to bed it in and was fine. So hopefully yours will be as well.

So this evening I started fitting my new snail!

Didn't get too far, just dropped the subframe off and undid the exhaust manifold. But I'm getting quite excited now, next time I drive it, it'll have a bigger turbo!!!!

Spent most of the day clearing out the garage so I could do this :

Yah whatever mate, You should try taking an inlet manifold of an HDi, gotta take the exhaust mani off first, and that means turbo off and that means subframe off.. What a pain in the bollocks.

Because the exhaust mani is in the way of the lower studs, so that has to come off. And I can't wind the studs out to drop the exhaust mani off because the turbo's in the way. PITA.

Nah it sits low enough that I can just stick a bend on and it'll go down the tunnel no problems..

And it's just a test fit, haven't clocked it yet. But well done for noticing, have a biscuit

That's pretty much ready to go then Johnny, good work. Don't worry about the exhaust not fitting properly. De-exhaust ftw. Bulkhead is metal so can handle the heat.

On another note, is that a wide angle lens? Or are you that short that it just appears wide angle?
