You could try getting a CG clutch, they're very cheap for uprated. Get what you pay for at the end of the day though, will you mind having to replace it if it shits itself..? If not drash on with the cheaper stuff and let us know if we can get away with it too. Big Grin

How the exhaust pipes are sitting:
yellow = engine - turbo
orange = turbo
Red = Exhaust

Few pics of the engine now, breather pipe for catch tank needs connected then the front end to go back on Tongue she should be finished tomorrow night Smile

[Image: 2013-01-31175924_zps958e9365.jpg]

-notice the all important cock on the R plate lol
-ECU bolted to suspension tower (getting heat shielded tomorrow)
-custom sprayed engine cover
-oil catch tank (oil draw off is the blue pipe, the other blank hole is for the breather pipe)
-custom bracket made up to mount the throttle body on, as it was previously mounted to the air box (now removed as you can see)
-induction cone fits nicely between the 2 intercooler pipes and still has the maf sensor attatched (will be removed when car is remapped)

[Image: 2013-01-31175857_zpsf964dbfa.jpg]

-the pipe coming along the top is the water feed to the turbo, the return of this is not visible
-the black pipe on left hand side is the oil draw off to the catch tank
-the braided hose just below the oil draw off hose, is the oil return from the turbo, is it both braided and heatshielded to withstand high temperature and pressures
-notice how the maf sensor is still present, this is to keep the car running smoothly until it is mapped out

Any ideas on what sort of power your expecting?

Looks tidy though, nice work!

Are you not going to change the angle of the turbo? I would be worried about the bearings not getting an even coat of oil, and as said about the seals failing.

Looks awesome though, very neat install.

thanks, estimating somewhere around 180bhp with a good map, but we will have to wait and see what can be achieved lol

we reckon the turbo should be okay at the angle it is at, and it makes installing the water and oil feed and returns alot easier and neater, thanks mate, now for the hardest part of all.. paying for it lol

very sad to announce everyone, but this project seems like a complete failure and a dead end at that Sad put the car on the rolling road today and she put out 50bhp that is not a mistake people, YES! WSG put out only 50bhp Sad this is a very sad day, and the guys at torquetronix actually refused to remap the car.. after much deliberation, we have come to the conclusion that the TD04 is the cause of such power loss in the car, we are now in the process of putting the old turbo back in and scrapping the TD04 and selling the mouting brackets, adapter plates, and exhaust pipes, i will keep everyone updated how it goes, but as for now, the project seems to be a failure, sorry everyone Sad

50bhp.. i honestly didnt know these engines could put out that little power lol

That seems very odd. Did you not drive it to the dyno and notice a serious lack of power?

How come you're blaming the turbo?

Mate dont give up that easy, there must be a reason/fault behind this that can be sorted then you can go on a progress, chuck up a thread in the HDI section and seek some advice before you go ripping it apart,

Hope you can find a solution buddy, dont give up Big Grin

Just stood in the garage for 4 hours and missed dinner so we could do tests on every aspect on the cars airflow to try and see what te problem was, and we came up with the maf sensor ballsing the whole thing up, reverted my turbo back to standard before we found out that was the problem, and very sad now lol, need to fix back brakes as they as siezed, car will be back of out garage for the weekend hopefully running standard turbo, as a result of starting a new job on monday, i need the car back and do not have enough time to put the td04 back in Sad as a result, im selling the whole kit turbo included, pm for more details Smile but project is back on, but without td04, but we know how to do it, so td04 may be back in in the future ladsss Big Grin
