Essentially the same block as the xud9, just longer stroke, slightly bigger capacity, main difference is the 12v head

Yeah it's different but essentially the same, just slightly taller, slightly different little bits and pieces like the bottom coolant hose size, taller, different crank etc
Similar, just everything slightly bigger

Piggy I had this exact problem, the stamping on the clutch pedal is a great idea in theory, BUT if anyone else has seen the thickness (or rather lack of it) of the pedal stop then they wont stamp on the clutch and let it slip off again.

I got stuck in bolton when I was doing it. The stop had bent so much my pedal sat too high for me to fit my work boots between it and the fuse box, and it also allowed the cable to slip off the retaining hook on the pedal as it wasnt at enough of an angle any more to grab & hold the clip.

Luckily I had a spare clutch pedal box but im 95% sure thats your problem.

Ive bent it back a little and managed to rebuild, so to speak, the adjuster in the cable. Bite is high but driveable now

Dont go slipping your foot off the clutch again as I assure yoy the metal stop is weak as piss
Thanks given by:
Do you mean the little stop that sticks out of the metal housing at the top of the physical pedal's travel?

Remember I sent you the photo if the whole metal bracket broken..that part

Spent hours trying to find the fault with the arduino...tidy loom now a mess...different batteries...stand alone power for the arduino...new earths, different relays..........

traced to an earth fault somewhere....

Finally found what seems to be a faulty arduino board. Theres a dirty earth on it somewhere as soon as you power it up. No obvious circuit fault on the board...but its defo there. and buggering all the sensor values up...main one being the RPM.

Sad

things not going well....found lots more rot on the 206 too this evening. Plus my cheap nasty MIG been buggering me about. then the jacking point collapsed on me as I called it a day at 9pm in the dark. not been a good day Sad

I HATE rust and welding it all up. Most hated job. So once its all done...i will feel better. I'm guna make this 206 proper nice so Im still positive about it Smile

Oh yeah and once I get this flipping arduino stuff working, that be nice too!

piggy whats this engine like for spare parts? as its not a common unit if I am right, also did it slot straight on to the 306 mounts? bear with me like, as I am not cluded on up on French engine conversions.
Thanks given by:
Bolts straight in on mounts

They came in 806, 406, xantia, XM and something else I cant think the name of. Alright for parts. Depends what you mean by parts? Most of the stuff on it is xud9!

it was spare parts but you have answered that tbh, when you said they are alright for parts.
Thanks given by:
Well like blocks, heads, sumps are easy to come by. Tricky to find the manifolds I want as there were variations.

Ordered a new arduino R3 board. Hoping that sorts it

Well if were going to be picky here you can add the Citroen BX to that list and the Lancia Zeta and the Lancia Phedra
Thanks given by:
You sure the BX had the 2.1?

Thanks given by:
Pretty sure.

Edit, just googled, I knew they did a 2.1 BX but it isnt an XUD11

Also did you know that the NA XUD11 has a bore 1mm larger than the turbo ones.
Thanks given by:
Aye its bigger

Thats a bargain at a £50 starting bid.

Mine is slowly getting there but rain has again stopped play.

Have you tried reflowing the board ? Might be worth it if its knackered anyway unless you have warrenty

Ahh ignore me I missed you've ordered one
