it is... the netbook version. cant remember what number version tho, been a while since i had to reinstall it.
i find it annoying that is doesn't really have a 'desktop' as such, even tho you can save files there. unless im being a spanner and just havn't figured it out...

That is what I hated about it, I think it was designed with touch screen navigation in mind! get the proper desktop version on there! will be a million times nicer to use Smile the new version has the side bar and a usable desktop (might have a bash this weekend and see what it is like) Big Grin

i would, but its slow enough as it is! frags out if i have more than 4 tabs open in chrome, and every time a new window opens, i could go make a cup of tea! ah well, tis good enough for surfing and uni work, which is all it gets used for anyway!

That spec list explains a lot, lol,

Quote:System requirements of Chrome OS Linux:
Processor: Intel Pentium, Atom, Xeon or newer; AMD Duron, Athlon, Sempron, Opteron or newer
RAM: min. 256 MB
Hard disk: min. 1 GB
Graphics card: supports most modern graphics cards

still well above the minimum for that Chrome OS though lol

You probably haven't head of it as I don't think it has ever been officially given a launch as such but its been kicking about since 2009 ish IIRC

Anyway, I think this thread might now be a sufficiently off topic............. :text-threadjacked:

I will presume that by that you mean multiple monitors, as I have 4 desktops on Linux  but only one monitor as a laptop with 2+ screens would look a bit daft Tongue
