front strut brace fitting
#1
Just a quick question about fitting the front strut brace, is it just as simple as removing the 3 bolts from the top of the strut and then bolting down the strut brace. I have got new longer bolts for it. I am just wondering if when i undo the 3 bolts on the top of the strut is anything likely to move or will it be ok.

Thanks Titch

As long as you don't push the car and its level it will be fine.

Ive fitted an upper strut brace twice. It will undoubtedly move! Leave the car on the ground and undo the top mount bolts. However if it does move even by a few mm you will have to jack the car up to take the weight off the strut to then realign it!

You could also screw a bit of threaded bar into one or two of the holes to keep it in place.

Flat ground and do not move the car an inch and all will be well Big Grin

Cheers Fellas, did it this morning, had the car nice and level on the drive, chocked both front wheel so nothing would move and all was good took about 10 mins..
