Ive got a set here off my car ive said to him 10 times he can have for free also, one of them is in 100% perfect condition, and the other is cracked, but bit of ally strip and rivets underneath would make it unnoticeable, and for free! pft lol! Cars looking good tho fella, I say put stock grill back on though, mine used to be de badged, and I hated it also, the ph1 front is proud as it is, so leave it alone Or as alone as you can anyway...I know I cant talk, but ive managed to keep the badge in situ even with the cooler | Dyno Power Runs & Steady State Facilities Available, Just Ask Anytime |

New cam belt, tensioner etc fitted today less then a year after Darren fitted one for me. This XUD sure is getting the treatment!
Also passenger arch liner had to be removed after an incident on the motorway. I'm going to try get a replacement but many people run without these and have no problems right?

I ran no arch liners for AGES on the gti6. But I also heavily undersealed it. Will be fine for the most part, but once snow/water gets in the nooks and crannies it's asking for rust

As for underseal, would black hammerite be up for the job?

Nobody has asked what happened in this 'incident' that caused the arch liner to look like that!
What happened?!

ditto!? what the hell happened there...?!
badger/fox get stuck up in the liner??

They've been cable tied on for over a year and a half and they've gradually just worn looser and looser.
It just got caught up on the tyre on the motorway which shredded it apart.

Anyone got some 16's or 15's close to Bristol / Somerset for this?
Cyclones, OZ etc considered. Must have tyres.

Update: FMIC on, T2 de-filtered.
Currently having beef with the standard turbo>TMIC black 2" silicone hose which I'm hoping to re-route over the next couple of days as its fouling on my bonnet and throttle arm! Also my LDA boost feed is currently rubbing on my 90 silicone bend coming from the inlet, I've got a different LDA lid which allows me to rotate the feed, I'll get pictures of that tomorrow! 1 - The T2 2 - Grinding / sanding off the stupid runners on Xantia manifold 3 - All fitted 4 - All fitted 5 - All fitted pipes in bay

That looks well tidy, if the pipes were black it would almost look like it spose to be there! Top work fella

Going to try go re-route this today as the pipes are just in the way of too much.

Another decent day at it and its holding 20 PSI through the system.
Swapped the LDA ufo over for one with a different boost feed which stops it fouling on nearby boost pipes. Next I spent a good few hours figuring out how to make my short sleeve 2" 90 degree silicone bend fit on the turbo outlet but still be high enough to direct a pipe across the back of the manifold. With that done I spent the next couple of hours adapting bits of pipes I had lying around to produce the FMIC v3. Pretty happy with it now and probably won't be changing it. I'm going to hike the boost up via the max fuel screw quater of a turn a day which will hopefully show and weaknesses in the system (by popping of hoses). Pictures below (click to enlarge): 1) LDA ufo housing before: 2) Old vs New: 3) New LDA ufo fitted: 4) Pipe route: 5) Pipe route:

@Sam - I bought a universal kit and used some Xantia/406 pipes too.
@Puglove - Come on down then!!
T25 is on. Major thanks to Dave for being my personal technical hotline.
T2 Boost Stats on smokeless tune:
Gear | Spool | Peak | PSI 2nd| 2,000 | 3,400 | 19 3rd| 1,750 | 3,000 | 22 4th| 1,600 | 2,750 | 24 5th| 1,550 | 2,700 | 22 Will add T25 boost stats when I'm happy with the tune on it. Currently hitting 28PSI as it is and hefty lag. Some pictures of the size difference in turbos: Next on the agenda is lowering and then I'm pretty much complete with what I want to do to the car.

Can't post in your for sale thread unfortunately, but I could be potentially interested in the car in near standard form.
Drop me an email please.
