Evening lads, expect a few of you will remember my old Gti 6

Well as of last night I am now back in a 306, this one as it happens

Yes that is the same car lol albeit with some painted wheels, black masks and a lot of dirt.

Will put in some effort to get her gleaming again and then it's gonna be a nice long term project to make it exactly as I want it to be Smile

Will get some pictures after a. wash and wax tomorrow

Update

This is what has happened since she's been away and I'm gonna keep adding to the list of what I'm working towards

Rebuilt beam with (supposedly) bigger ARB
Solid rear beam mounts
Koni FSD shocks front and rear with -35mm springs
New cat (which has just fallen apart)
Cat back Scorpion exhaust
Head gasket
Aircon delete [emoji35]
New airbag module
Black masks
New spoiler

Things that annoy me:
Cat fell apart
Someone removed the alarm deactivate button [emoji35]
The blue centre console and engine bay bits got sprayed grey
The centre console rattles like a bastard
The heaters are stuck on full heat all the time
Brake compensator rod has been removed -why?!
ABS sensor has packed up
Boot and drivers door haven't been re fitted properly

Future plans:

Adjust boot / drivers door fitment
Tar remover / clay bar / wax
Soundproofing floor, boot, doors, roof
Reclining bucket seats
Drivers door loom repair
Central locking upgrade
Steering wheel upgrade / retrim
Wheel change
Ph3 bonnet
Ph3 front bumper
Re fit aircon system
Re spray centre console
Tart engine bay up
Upper strut brace
Paint repair on rear arch

Few pics after a polish at the weekend, needed a tar remover and clay bar but I didn't have time to do it thoroughly. Didn't help that the rain came in part way through too so not many decent pics

The thick lines are hedge scuffs (I'm always catching hedges myself Sad ), the thin ones are caused by grit when washing.

It does look much better now still more shine to get out of it when the sun comes out properly

Black masks are growing on me and I think will be staying although not big on the black wheels, got a couple spare sets in the shed so will see what looks best

Lovely to have a car that handles again and will be out and about in it a lot, definitely need a catchup [emoji1]

Some good plans. Weird how someone has broken it so much after a year and certainly some bizarre things there...

Tell me about it mate, spent a lot of money underneath but seems to have randomly left out or broken other things. Also needs new 306oc stickers as he was a PEG member and took them off [emoji1]

Why would someone remove the rod from the brake system? That's just odd

New compensator is the starting point I think.

Dropped a load of water on me last night while driving. Was a bit surprised but could see it coming thorough the interior light so this morning stripped it out and cleaned up all the corrosion and re sealed the roof. Hopefully all good now

Needs a clean again badly, forgot how bad owning a black car is lol

no but by removing the rod make a defective system = mot Fail!

if there is no spring load on the compensator the breaking force is reduced to the rear

so effectively the brake effort is front biased
