The Racetractor. The End.
Great results! That torque!

Dyno doesn't load the car anywhere the same as being on the road which sends the controller for the vnt off in this application. I've had very similar issues on dyno tbh.

Be different if it was a waste gate turbo, or vnt on a boost can.

Very impressive in any case, especially if you can hold that torque higher up the revs
Thanks given by:
Not sure it would hold all that torque up top but it doesnt stop pulling on the road till 4600ish

Niall: there was a LOT of different cars ran on that dyno, lots of standard from different makes/engines, Im pretty confident on the accuracy tbh

Video is coming as is dyno sheet......

Im also dead chuffed with only a 12bhp loss in transmission. The saxon guys were well impressed!

Does show GTB ability. Sod off TD04s!!!

Oh that graph isn't anywhere near as bad as i was expecting lol. Id be happy with that!

That is good power to be fair, looks like it needs a wedge more fuel in it though, or the gov shimming stiffer as it looks like the torque falls away pretty quickly after its fully spooled up. Hence the low rpm the peak power is made.

Fair play though, great result and great spread of power!!

CONGRATULATIONS my Piggy !!!!!!!!!!
In a first test, I was expecting something softer lol
I hope your help when I touch my arduino tune lol
The second cylinder head and got, had a crack in a hydraulic tappet. . . Garbage too. . . waiting for a third. . .

I also hope the dyno video jajajaj
Thanks given by:
Wait to see the video james, you see the boost drops off for some reason around 3k rpm and fuel isnt an issue!!

On the road if anything it pulls harder past that point and doesnt smoke at ALL!
Wishes for more power...
Thanks given by:
It doesn't LOOK to be a fuel issue, it's the typical controller issue, as Tom said, he's had the same problems, just the dyno load ballsing it up....

Hopefully get that sorted and another dyno run in, see what it makes then.

Ah right. Fair point. I guess its hard to tell from the plot what disappears, fuel or air. I'll take your word for it :p

First video of the failed run...

Fyi, it made 206 at the wheels...so could be more at the fly anyway!! Smile

The proper run:

Effectively double stock power anyway ThumbsUp

Looks like a pretty typical xud torque curve to me? They often seem to peak and drop off like that, it certainly didn't nose dive

Piggy is seen as a cut shot or backfire at high rpm?

awesome power that and pretty nice graph too! makes me want to 2.1 mine more and back in a 306 was ment to be a cheap run around..

It doesnt dive at all on the road fella.

And certainly doesnt chuff like a train at 3250rpm-4250rpm it just keeps pulling clean.

I wish I had sat in the car now and watched the gauges Undecided

I wonder if it peaked above 1.6bar and the controller tried to bring it back and it didnt work so well!?

Yeah!! Guna get a little breather for the N75 and a tiny little cold air feed for the FET, just for giggles! Haha

Ooo, can you spin the last pic for me ruan?...not sure again why its done that!?

Next year for sure I think.

This winter the summer wheels will be swapped for winter ones so will be shod with something designed just for the better months and that will handle some track action.
Hope to get top strut brace on too.
And got some better pads in the pipeline from Anton for track time too.
Also it will get an oil cooler and a proper cold air feed and some pipe tidying etc.

Then its time to push it hard out on some A roads and B roads for extended periods time to see how she copes

Its odd isnt it, does sound like a misfire on the dyno, i thought something had gone badly wrong actually!!

I was like, 'awww crap, that wasnt good' and the bloke was like, 'flipping ek thats got some umph'!

I love this car James, I really do.

I just can't help but feel you have shit taste in wheels, the 206 wheels you have now just look like disabled cyclones, those white Picasso wheels were even worse.

Have you considered something like 206 Scirocco wheels? I love the anthracite but I just think it'd look so much better on different hooves.

Good work though, I love it.

And its cossack grey, get it right Tongue

Oh and the picasso wheels will be back on next month!! Winter tyres/wheels!!

Just googled those scirrococcooco wheels....yeauch!!!

It's whatever you prefer wheel wise, I don't understand why you'd have those over normal clones and mess about with spacers for the privilege of a worse looking wheel but, that's just my opinion, if u like them crack on Smile

Those scirocco wheels are awful, don't put those on lol. I really like your choice of wheels so far, generally understated and different, but still manage to keep to stuff that suits the lines of the car and looks interesting.

Cracking result on the dyno there, all the hard work you put in to getting the engine right paid off in the end.

I'll admit, I'm not the biggest fan of the "Disabled cyclone" - but 206 Sciroccos?! Are you shitting me? They look like "Shit Harrier Ripoffs"!!!
