Anyone interested in buying a GT 2.1?
i know what that's like! when you spend practically 2 years getting the parts together, then 2 weeks on putting it all together on the car, for it to turn around and bite you on the arse badly! i nearly binned my car, if it wasn't for people on here ( well other forum at the time) telling me to keep going with it as i was practically nearly there! and other lad taking over and getting me another lump!

"SHE'S ALIVE!!" mwahahaha
so...relocated oil cooler behind and lower down behind coolant rad.
redone oil cooler connectors
bypassed ac pump(removed for spring) and fitted a 6pk1200 belt to do this.
refitted coolant rad into more conventional position and moved relay box too.
all in aid of getting more air to the coolant rad and stopping mad vibrations on the oil cooler.
drained what was left of oil...about a litre and half...replaced oil filter and refilled with oil.
and she runs and drives as she should! bar the smell of hot oil due to still some oil underneath/on exhaust/rad fins etc!!!
also taking chance to run another main 12v line from engine bay to battery...creating essentially a 32mm power cable.

All of those gears are "fowards" on the lever arent they? (that question sounds rather stupid but you never know haha)
Will be whichever linkage adjusts length of the forwards and back movement on the gear stick.

ok.
so as most have probably noticed from seans spottes thread...
I ended up in shelf of m5 coz of oil line...again.
ordered some an/bsp fittings...lovely 27quid.
had to buy oil at services too....not the best price I have ever paid!!!!
anyway...got new bonnet and door...so once I get this ruddy oil cooler and coolant heating issues sorted...time to get polishing...
oh yeah...once I done tuning, and removed all the AC.
and fitted the rest of interior.
and fitted ICE!!
THEN start polishing!!!

What fittings do you have on your oil lines at the min? I never had an issue with blowing fittings off mine.

AC rad ripped out, fans moved onto coolant rad.
FMIC in process of being moved back to allow more air flow.
AN to bsp fittings arrived for my oil cooler.
and I think I have found main culprit for the heating issue....the rear/lower coolant stat is stamped to open at 97degrees!!

all well now lads!
sits at 77/78 and when getting warm goes to 83/84 but never hotter! lots of relocating bits etc
also sorted An fittings so no more horrid oil dribbles.
oh and heres a video for ya all...
obviously it was done on my little private lane near me.
3rd gear then into 4th.
bit strangled top end, needs better filter setup I think so got some bits on order for that.
Need to sort my EGT and EMP gauges now
also its still only at 1.1bar...so that needs sorting!!!
and that run was still about 15% veg, maybe 20%.
