I know, but my mate is lending me the money for the map if he can get a good run in it lol, spose its a case of you get what you pay for, whilst i dont doubt for a second mr whippys ability to create a good map, tt spend about 2-3 hours getting the map just right and then put it on the rolling road, il see what i decide to go for tho Smile

Easily with the cooler and pipe showing!! And btw I think if you can get a rattle can with similar blue to pipes paint the top engine mount at the top and the black fuse box cover on the right Smile will look smart I think Big Grin

I've never had a map done with torquetronix but either way if something goes wrong with the car they won't take responsibility, and I hear whippy and the likes are great customer service

My sisters bf got his 206 hdi dturbo mapped by tt and it shit itself a few days later, he phoned them, and they came and lifted the car and had it fixed and remapped free of charge lol

This looks pretty insane! What's the differences between tuning an HDi and a Dturbo? I'm not really gen'd up on diesels

Basically, DT's are more mechanical, i.e. playing with the fuel pump with spanners and screw drivers etc. Whereas, with a HDi, there's a hell of a lot more electronics and you have to play with maps in the ECU.

It does look like a very interesting project though. Theoretically speaking, it is not an ideal turbo, but it is only theory after all. It's all well and good for some people to slate it, but at the end of the day, until it gets tested you never know! So, I can't wait to see the results.

and the best thing about the bay mount is that if the td04 turns out to be wrong for the hdi, its simply a case of unbolting it and trying something else

Cool, so when you hear of people playing with the Bosch pumps and screws etc that would be dturbos?

What's easiest and best?

yeah all the talk of fuel screws and bosch conversions is the xud engines.

depends what sort of person you are really, i much prefer mechanical diesels as thats how i work best, but if your good with computers then hdi might be the one for you

Fair play, looks pretty epic for a HDI but........................................... surly thats a shitty as f*ck place to have your air intake? surly all that nasty warm engine bay air is dulling the preformance!
