I got the exhaust fitted today. Pretty pleased with it! It just seems to sit out from the bumper a bit to much so needs a bit more adjust ment I think. Will try and get some pics

Every Magnex i've seen does that, I think it's just the way they are built.

Bit of an update but mostly bad news. Firstly i changed the cam belt and water pump on christmas eve (cuz i'm sad and don't have better things to do) and got it all put back together and started it up but it was making a really bad screeching noise. So i started to take bit back off until i found out that it was the cam belt cover rubbing so i losened it off for now. i hope to sort it out today after work and i think i know what it is. i will update later on how i get on.
I am glad i replaced the cam belt though as the water pump was really bad. It had a lot of play in it and was pretty noisey when i spun it up. I think it was only change about 3 years ago when the head gasket was done. Think the belt may have ben done up a little to tight.
And for the second bit of bad news it looks like i need to put another rear axle in.
It's not the end of the world as i have got a spare 1 but just something else to put on my to do list. It aint rubbering at the moment so not a massive rush to do it. I will prob do it when i fit my braided brake lines as they as easier to fit when the axle is off the car

It does look pretty bad. I had a feeling it was gone! I think it made a difference having it on a completely flat surface

I have sorted my cam belt cover rubbing noise which I'm pleased about. I had lost the rubber bit that goes on the pin that the cover locks into place on. That's 1 less thing to worry about now. Hopefully get the axle done in a couple of weeks time

Yeah they do seem to be but I suppose it doesn't help when most of us replace our knackered beams with 2nd hand beam that we can't be 100% on the history of. I guess the best way would be to get a reconditioned axle but that's very expensive

Got a few bits turned up for this the other day. Firstly theres a set of longer bolts for the srut brace
and them fitted
and also got a set of braided brake lines
not fitted them yet as i will do the rears when i fit the rear axle and will do the fronts when i fit a gti6 master cylinder and also get another caliper painted to go back on
