Who cares about making your money back really? Its about the enjoyment you get from them. I think youd be lucky if they go up in value. Id like to think my 6 can only go up in value but i dobt it lol.
Like i said to jonny before S/C mi/s16 oohhh yeah.

got some wind defectors for my car and got them fitted on the weekend. realy easy to fit and i think they look pretty good
i also got a pair of front wings to go on it as the driver side has had someone tunch up a scratch but really badly
so when i get round to putting the wings on i also need to replace the passenger side side skirt as the lacquer has cracked and its all faded. hopefully get round to these sometime so.
i will try and get round to washing it and get some better pics of it

everyone has an opinion on it. On how many left, it says theres only 60 S16s left on the road in the UK and that amount will only go down

S16 will become a collectors item in not too long imo, GTI6 won't for a long time . .

well i would like to think that will be the case. i think that i will prob end up keeping the car really as i do really like it now that i have been driving it. just not liking the amount of fuel it drinks compared to my D turbo. i suppose S16s are just like ph1 gti6s really. they are pretty rare as well now

Yeah us locals need to stick together! Cheers mate, it's getting there slowly. I do like the sound if the exhaust but keep getting tempted by other exhausts. I think the de-cat makers a big difference!

only a tiddly 1.4hdi. had it throughout uni due to being fairly cheap to run. Getting a bit fed up with the limited power though now so ought to find something else for a laugh. Derv of course .
Yea cool might do that. whereabouts and time?

so i've got a slight issuse. in the oil filler cap i got a lot of the 'creamy' stuff thats usally a sign that the head gasket is gone. but the guy i got it off had done the head gasket 2 years before and only done about 10000 miles in that time. i have also just got round to putting the head gasket tester we got at work on it and its showing no sign of the headgasket gone. the coolant is also fine as is the oil. so i think that there much be water getting into the breather system some how. anyone got any ideas?

No it's been like it a while I just wanted to use the head gasket tester before I jumped to saying the head gasket is gone

Does the car get used a lot? Or just short journeys? If its just short journeys then I wouldn't worry bud probs just a bit o condensation, mine gets like that in the colder months unless I take it for a massive run, catch tank helps

i use the car pretty much ever day. its usally sort journeys like to work which is 8 miles and all on back roads so doesnt get driven very hard. it gets a longer journey ever now and then. its quiet common for this to happen then? also whats a catch tank like to fit?

Don't know mines sat in the shed ha ha, but yeh that's about my journey tbh, everyday. still get a build up in winter, does clear though if you go for a good couple of hours drive, wouldn't worry though bud, I change my oil every 1500 miles, castroll magnatec is decent and cheap enough. I have never seen it in the oil that comes out when I change it! Just seems to sit at the top,

been spending a bit more of my money on this. i brought an E-tech top strut brace and a magnex cat back exhaust. i am hopefully going to get round to fittng the exhaust sometime this week. i fitted the strut brace last night and im pretty happy with it. i used the standard bolts though to fit it on with. will they be ok or do i need some slightly longer 1s just to be safe? i didnt get any pics though but will hopefully get some later on.
i have also had to change the n/s/f brake caliper last week as it seize solid which was a bit of a pain but popped a spare 1 on for now. i just need to get another 1 painted up to go back on
also still got the problem with the stop light but thats in a different tread as dont want to bore you lot too much
hope to get some pics up later on

You need longer bolts for the strut brace; PM Swampy on here, he does them for about £5 posted IIRC...

Cheers for that. Got some coming now. I got the magnex exhaust off the guy on here. Just wondered if you know how to tell that it is a magnex cuz I can't see it on the exhaust any where. Could you tell from a pic?
