It's not that people are saying you can't, it's just the way in which it's done to accommodate this change isn't the ideal way of doing so.

apparently the standard ECU doesnt like boost.

The standard ECU can't work with boost.

That seems to insinuate stock ECU can't handle boost, but it can.

There was an old workaround that was done before Wayne knew how to relinearise the map sensor scale on the 1AP ecu which is how most of the low boosters run. Some have been converted as the vacuum map setup is crap.

If you set it up with the full scale map (negative and boost) sensor, it's the same as every other aftermarket ECU without the cost...

But as far as i know, has only just worked out how to do this?
