It was all fresh. Never had an issue I the sedan. The shell of this car I basically bought off some guy living in a trailer. God knows what he was running it on before me. Thankfully the engine was buggered and i swapped it out for my written off sedan.
Also its had a full tank of derv through it now so back to veg on Sunday

Few things today. My engine is now with the courier on the way. cant wait.
Replaced a seatbelt for mot purposes. Although my boss is determined to find something wrong with my car. Which he wont.
I've now sanded two wheels down out of four. Hammerite is a horrendous ungodly paint that should never touch wheels. Also got the rest of my paint through for them.
Also going to fit my spare brakes tomorrow as I've got some 266mm lying about. Which I'm sure will be good enough for the 2.1 with good discs and pads
Also got my spacers on the way. Hubcentric of course.

Yeah used to used hammerite, but just found it impossible to work with even when I was getting it free from work.Just gave to my mates in the end.
I did use a mouse type sander which was excellent, really did save so much time.
A bbq/engine meet sounds epic I'm shure I could get will to come down aswell.

So got this onto my "bench" and started stripping bits this evening cause I had an hour spare. Removed belt covers and checked timing was ok. Wound her over by hand to check no valves hitting the pistons. Will take head off anyway. Removed Bosch pump that was on it. Removed all the auxiliary's and brackets that I don't need on front ready for my phase one setup I have to go on.
Benched engine
Removed the bits I don't need.
Also spare Bosch pump now. I now have three.

I've got 6 weeks of dinner breaks to get it done ready to go in. I'm assuming the head gasket was ok. Wondering arm if its worth pulling head off.

So the wheels are now in primer. These have taken basically an entire week to sand the hammerite off and prep. 24 hours wait to flat sand these and spray top coat on getting there

I'll email brentcare with my details tomorrow.
I am taking the rear one out. Was going to see if the rear housing from the xud9 fits on it as well as I have a spare.

They should be able to cover you mate, I think I have been with them for 3 nearly 4 years now. Got the two motors through them now.
What they will do is cap you on engine mods, ie set a certain BHP, that you have to stick to and that's it.
