That know how could come in useful for me in the future... the pins are made from 2x 6mm shouldered bolts with the threads cut off 1x 9mm ish pin punch filed/sanded down to the correct size using a drill to spin it to keep it round i then silver soldered washers to the heads and painted them yellow so they stand out [attachment=13898]

after fitting the cambelt tensioning it up and standing back to admire my work i went DOH! now ive got to do it all again tell me why? [attachment=14206] it might not be that clear in the picture the engine turns over no problems no clicking clunking or abnormal noise

Have you put the cam seals in? I'm struggling to see in any of your pics whether you've fitted them or not
The writing is always meant to face the other way to what is fitted in the pic above

What I've always been taught when working in garages. I could be wrong but I got a very stern bollocking off a mechanic for putting on wrong and it's stuck in my head ever since

Yes the cambelt is on the wrong way round
it has to be run in the direction of arrows as the belt is manufactured that way [attachment=14207] and the blue snakes are coming along quite nice [attachment=14208] |
