Still no progress on this. I keeping saying to my boss about the body work and fingers crossed it will be this week.
I went up to see Sam again last night and i got the iveco ko3 turbo off him. I also got a few other bits including side skirts, tow strap and the lime green bonnet but i duno if that will end up on this 1. Got a few other bits thats some mates are having off me.
So the plan is to get the body work on it sorted. Mostly just the roof. Then i will do the boring bits first which will be putting the interior back together, wiring in both new door looms, cam belt and water pump. Then i will get on to the more exciting bits like fitting the FMIC set up, xantia manifold, turbo and the pump mods.
So lots of bits to look forward to and i hope to have it all do ready for FCS

Think im going to put another sun roof back in as the current 1 has be sticky flexed a lot and doesnt look very good. Hopefully the roof will be this week so i will be able to start doing my bits on it next week.
Got this today from my boss so now i just need to get another 1 of the otther side

I guess they masked it off. I'm not 100% sure how they did it but it looks ok.
What do you mean paint stop in the middle? And inside or outside?

Not a massive amount has happened on this. I popped the sun roof out of the S16 in this the other day. I plan on putting the roof lining back up over the weekend and then crack on with the door looms hopefully.
I really do need to get cracking on with this!

I put the roof lining back in after work today. Also put some of the interior bits back as well.
The rear quater has a little bit of rust showing and i was wondering what the best thing to do about it is. Its still solid so i was thinking a bit of a wiring brushing and then paint over it with some hammerite. Anyone got any ideas?
I hope to wire up the new loom to the passenger side maybe this week

So I finally maned up and did my passenger side door loom yesterday. I decided to use a 2nd hand 1 I had as it had all the same pins and was in mint condition. Also seemed a shame to use the new 1 when I got a good 2nd hand 1 to use.
So I took the glove box out and pulled the carpet back a bit so I could pull the loom through into the car which made it so much easier as I don't like to struggle!
I replaced the loom as the central locking wasn't working and I could see a wire broke off right at the plug so wasn't repairable. The wires were all pretty bad on the old loom
I wanted to do a good job on it so I took my time. It's not the easiest of jobs as I had to check I was soldering the right wires together so I had a multimeter and pen and paper and did 1 wire at a time. Prob took me about 3-4 hours to do it but I was the first 1 I had done and hopefully the last!
The end result
Really please with the end result and it's all working as it should now so happy days!!
My driver side loom isn't in great condition but is working so will prob leave it but might take a look just to check all the wires.
So I think it's now time to get on with the engine side of things!!

I got a few more bits for this the other night when i went up to see Jaymes306 and got a good condition ph1 black bonnet and the 2.5" mild steel racetube turbo to backbox with a backbox. So i got a fair few bits to get sorting out and putting on.
I have also decided to fit some HDi con rods as i fort i may as well while i have the engine out so i have got some of them coming.
Hopefully i will have the engine out this week

I have started to strip the engine down. Didn't get a massive amount done as was only in my lunch time but i hope to get a fair bit done over the weekend.
I have now got vitor reinz head gasket, head set and head bolts. Also got some HDi rods now but just need to sort out the big end shells.
I hope to get a good amount done this weekend

I stayed on after work tonight to have a play with my engine. I took the gearbox off and then got it bolted up in an engine stand.
Before i started stripping it i fort i would have a test fit of the turbo to try and see about mounting the actuator and getting a oil feed line made up.
Then i got the head off the engine
Then i got the sump off
And thats as far as i got tonight. I will pop down work in the morning to see about taking the pistons out.

Went down work yesterday and i took the pistons out.
I also notice that it looks like a valve has hit the top of a piston. Looks like its happened on 3 of the pistons
Im not sure why or how this has happened though

Started to strip the head down tonight but then i found out that 2 of the swirl chambers are starting to come loose so i dont really want to putting this head on. My boss said that he has a xantia which i can take the head off and have but im tempted to have the whole engine. I have thursday and friday off work so hope to sort something out over them days

Bit of an update. I got anther head off a mate and have had that pressure tested and skimed. I picked that up on saturday and have grounded the valves in and i now need to do the valve clearences and the that will be the head pretty much ready.
As for the bottom end i got some big end shells sorted so i just need to get the bores de glazed and then the pistons can go back in. I hope to get that do this week
