ac button to switch on fans

Hi guys need a little help
I've removed my air con rad ready to fit a fmic so no more a/c but can i still use the a/c button in the dash to kicking the fans when i need to

Yes it can be done I'm sure there is a guide. As simple as abit of wire joining 2 pins together on the brown 4 pin plug on the left hand side of the engine bay near the washer bottle filler neck iirc pins 1 and 3 but double check as I maybe wrong Smile

It is mate checked it out. i did do it on my 6 just to check and it does work well Smile

1 and 2 for low speed, 1 and 3 for high speed

Is there a nack to getting it working ive just put a wire in pin 1 and 3 also 1 and 2, ignition on air con button on but no fans Sad

yea with the spring clip facing up 1 is closest to the engine if that makes sense

I remember trying this and no fans came on so turned engine off with the key but it still kept running for an extra min like a turbo timer haha panicked and plugged it bk in lol

Iirc you should also unplug the ac pump from what I have read
