Buying a Bmw 320d
#1
Thinking of buying a Bmw 320d as a daily until a 306 estate pops up for sale.

Has anyone here owned one, Is there any main problems to look for?

I know of 2 that the timing chains snapped and researched that there common for swirl flaps and turbo problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you will never come back to a 306 if you buy a 320d Big Grin

I'm thinking 2001, think that's a E46. Don't want to go up the years too much as I don't want to spend too much on a daily.

Oh I will ☺ 306s are just bulletproof and cheap parts so I'll be staying with them once a estate comes along.

BMW's are even more solid, standard service parts aren't much different.
