so with the low boost 6 being sold and gone over to Ireland with its new owner who blew the f*cking thing up in under two weeks it was time for something different, thats were this comes in.
Plan is to liven the engine up a bit, its a 2.1 (205 block) with twin webber 45s and high comp pistons and some other bits, then just do a General tidy up of little niggles here and there.
Most importantly no rot to be seen!!!

Ben, It'd be worth either getting the crank and flywheel doweled together or some ARP flywheel bolts. Pintos love to shear these bolts off and it'd be a good idea while it's in bits. 7.5x13 X pack rims look great on this, I've got 7's on my old Escort. Luke.

Beauty.
Wish I'd bought a Capri 10+ years ago when I was looking at them as they'll never be financially viable for me now.

That is alot of money and alot of hard work there mate.
Is the belt right on that oil pump, I thought belts (even toothed ones) liked to have a little more purchase on what they are turning?

that belt design goes back to mk3 Cortina in 1972...........a lot of time & money has been spent there, but please use a better filter than TJ ?? get a mann/mahle filter on there and look after the time/cash you have spent on that engine. capri itself looks the dogs danglies !! I had a t-reg (1979) back in the day and that was interesting to drive in the wet on standard wheels & tyres.
