little update

no work has really been done on this just been buying parts but iv now aquired a brand new non-pas rack, some wishbones and also some new headlight pieces so i can cutout the rust parts on mine and just weld in some new ones Smile

also JJ's sigma now has a new engine which i fitted last sunday and it will also be getting a complete suspension overhaul this weekend then hopefully i can start work on this again.

iv bought a 1.9 disc beam, manual steering rack and complete 1.9 front gti subframe setup and some fiesta rs recaro front seatsSmile

had a nice sunny day the other day and always wanted to learn to weld so thought why not give it ago

well seeing as the weather is shit and the engine for this is now in the 205 i thought id strip the f*cked engine and see what we can do so pics below

UPDATE:

weather was dry yesterday so cracked out the grinder for the sunroof rivets 15mins later i was left with this

then all lined up and some silicone put on i riveted it in place

WOW last update was nearly 2 months ago Sad

but have faith i have an update,

i finished welding all the front up and red oxide primered at the end of july but some twat decided to crash into the 306 a few weeks ago, but now thats sorted i thought id crack on with this, i moved to over to my sisters garage on the flat and dropped the front subfame inc susoension legs and cleaned the whole engine bay ready for a lick of paint, then my mate popped round with a couple cans of trade spray paint Smile anyway pics.

and then i found a can of apple green in the shed lol,whoops

the finish isnt perfect but it will do and tidy's it up no end. oh and cleanned all the inside and fitted the red carpet, ooooossshhhh.

It was months before i found a non sunroof shell in good condition, Why did you remove the sliding sunroof tho? that was a optional extra costing £395

It leaked really bad and the glass was cracked so for the sake of £25 I plated it up, if I was restoring then I would have kept it. Maybe next time lol
