They're fine generally, just sometimes the brass fittings come loose so need gluing or bigger grub screws
Welding and fabrication projects undertaken, contact me for more information.

I think they would work much better if the gearstick was sleeved so it fits tighter in the spherical bearing.

How exactly do you put the stick through the ball? Do you have to remove the knob and the plastic off the top?

plastic? just pull the knob off, cut the plastic ball away and slide the stick through the spherical joint with a collar each side, well not so much slide but dick in a shirtsleeve kinda thing.

i think he meant the plastic sleeve the knob sits on?

I drilled a couple dimples in the shaft for the grub screws to sit in (on the compbrake QS on my ax)

my 306 has it, wierd white plastic sleeve with a ridge down either side (to stop the knob rotating on the shaft) does this just pull off like the knob? I didnt want to force it and shatter the damn thing

They don't seem to come off, shattered when I tried anyway.

I think he means for the lift reverse on a gti6.
I had to slice mine off and tiger seal it back on with a few cable ties.

The cheaper way for quickshift is to extend the length of gear stick around 2"

Shift feeling are better !

Just fitted this to the 306 HDi. Hasn't shortened the shift by a huge amount, but its noticeable. Also gives the change a very firm feel. Took 20 minutes to fit as it's a direct replacement.

Unsure if it will fit a Gti6. And definitely won't fit cars with cable gear linkage, suitable for mechanical type only.

I think this would fit a gti6, you just have to make the lift reverse attach somewhere.
