quickshift - connorp - 16-06-2015 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PEUGEOT-206-306-QUICK-SHIFT-/350601585985?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item51a17ba541 is this an alright budget quickshift or a no go?? RE: quickshift - Jonny81191 - 16-06-2015 They're fine generally, just sometimes the brass fittings come loose so need gluing or bigger grub screws RE: quickshift - welshpug - 16-06-2015 a bit shit really, not very well executed, always come loose. RE: quickshift - adam b - 16-06-2015 Detest mine ![]() RE: quickshift - welshpug - 16-06-2015 I think they would work much better if the gearstick was sleeved so it fits tighter in the spherical bearing. WELD THE lady garden! RE: quickshift - Eeyore - 16-06-2015 How exactly do you put the stick through the ball? Do you have to remove the knob and the plastic off the top? RE: quickshift - welshpug - 16-06-2015 plastic? just pull the knob off, cut the plastic ball away and slide the stick through the spherical joint with a collar each side, well not so much slide but dick in a shirtsleeve kinda thing. RE: quickshift - thododd - 16-06-2015 i think he meant the plastic sleeve the knob sits on? I drilled a couple dimples in the shaft for the grub screws to sit in (on the compbrake QS on my ax) RE: quickshift - welshpug - 16-06-2015 never seen that on a 306, only later 406's with cable shift. RE: quickshift - thododd - 16-06-2015 my 306 has it, wierd white plastic sleeve with a ridge down either side (to stop the knob rotating on the shaft) does this just pull off like the knob? I didnt want to force it and shatter the damn thing RE: quickshift - Mattcheese31 - 16-06-2015 (16-06-2015, 03:46 PM)thododd Wrote: my 306 has it, wierd white plastic sleeve with a ridge down either side (to stop the knob rotating on the shaft) does this just pull off like the knob? RE: quickshift - Lwilliams - 16-06-2015 I welded the collars on mine either side if it helps ![]() RE: quickshift - kentiiboii - 16-06-2015 (16-06-2015, 03:23 PM)welshpug Wrote: never seen that on a 306, only later 406's with cable shift.I think he means for the lift reverse on a gti6. I had to slice mine off and tiger seal it back on with a few cable ties. RE: quickshift - maxzy - 17-06-2015 The cheaper way for quickshift is to extend the length of gear stick around 2" Shift feeling are better ! Never skipped a beat. Seems solid and im sure it was cheap as. Hasn't shortened the shift by a huge amount, but its noticeable. Also gives the change a very firm feel. Took 20 minutes to fit as it's a direct replacement. Unsure if it will fit a Gti6. And definitely won't fit cars with cable gear linkage, suitable for mechanical type only. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIRENZA-PEUGEOT-106-206-306-ALL-MODELS-SHORT-SHIFTER-QUICK-SHIFT-WITH-GEARKNOB-/150952534271 RE: quickshift - kentiiboii - 18-06-2015 (17-06-2015, 11:51 PM)Pebbles167 Wrote: Just fitted this to the 306 HDi.
