Guys and girls!
This is more for my GT, but for a wider range of experience and opinions I see no reason to ask on here haha  .
I've been turning my GT Turbo into a dirty track slag to have fun on track days. I've always ran spec 2s or T1Rs as a daily but I'm looking for something a little more sticky... I was originally set of trying some AD08s, but recently heard of these new nankangs which are supposedly better! And they're cheap at £200 a set.
Has anyone tried them?
Also available in soft and medium compounds.

I'm running AD08R (the new version) and they are blinking superb. They are a hardish compound and have hardly worn in 4k miles now (including a track day). They do need about -1.5 camber though to get the best out of them. I think they cost me £60 a tyre. Significantly better than the R888s I was using before - much more progressive and they work well in water. Only thing i've found catches them out is salty, muddy roads.
The NS-2R tyres are supposed to be very good too - guys in work run them on their Clios

I've ordered them in medium compounds a few fays ago, so I can report soon, how would they perform compared to T1Rs.

I had the nangkangs utter dreadful! Lasted 3k miles I now use the later ad08r's and they are far better. My 0-60ft times at drag improved as did the handling on the car.

Yes I have some and yes lods of rs boys run them,never heard of any 306 running them.there come in 2 compounds either 120(road) 180 (track) I have the 180's.Mine have literally been on a day so can't really comment too much on them.
As far as reviews they very well matched with the ado8r s but better in the wet and I tiny bit worse in the dry(i'm talking like 1 percent) obviously driving style and car setup as massive factor

I intend to try a set soon. My last tyres were AD08R's so the nankangs will have a lot to live up to.

Shame they have such a name, I would be wary of trying them from previous experience of Nangkangs! (utterwankangs....)

I've heard they are a bit down on quality, in terms of longevity. But time will tell. For £200 a set or whatever they are, they cant wear as quickly as Toyo T1R's which everyone loves, not on track anyway.

A048's you won't find a better e marked tyre out there not the cheapest but you get what you pay for! As said above r888 waste of time I had them on my R only time they felt responsive was on an out lap they soon went in the bin! As for the ns2r's well each to their own I wouldn't put them on my own car but I know afew people that use them on track and swear by them I think it's just the price that guides people if I'm been honest ?

Seems to be a mix of good and bad opinions to be honest. It's the same story over on the starlet forum...
For the sake of £200 I'm going to give the medium compound a go. As it is, the car will handle better than I can make use of and maybe some mediocre track tyres will be good for me haha.
Cheers for all the input guys! No doubt there will be another new tyre on the market by the time I'm ready for some so I'll post my report and probably ask for opinions on whatevers out by then :p.

Back in 2010 they were the tyre of choice for most... I bought a set on the good reviews... Was very disappointed lol, and that was only on road going 1.4!!
Not sure anyone on here raves about them these days though.

2010...? Try 2002...
But then they were quickly overhauled by the Eagle F1. Which was a superb tyre.

It feels like I've used most of the branded tyres on the track & road Toyos Mich Goodyear & Fererals Not used these Nangs ...so far Dunlop DZ03s are the best I've personally used ...they have lasted well ...they are Just road legal & Toyo 888 ripped off Dunlops tread pattern they look similar but there's were it ends .!!
Used them at Combe & FCS in the dry & they are Amazing & even in the poring rain & they were surprisingly good ....not in a Michelin Pilot way though but useable & felt good !!!!
I think the 3j helped though..
