Thanks RetroPug - seems a little odd that the injectors caps don't need alinement. Wouldn't the fuel atomise at a different rate?
So finally managed to get some time off work with the weather on my side:

Looks like i've got a small leak from the brake fluid res. Might have been caused by me moving the car around a lot, but there doesn't appear to be an O-ring or flange keeping the res snug - Should there be?

Couple of rusty parts which will have to be replaced

Again shouldn't there be some sort of retainer or flange on the gear shift?
