I'm down south this weekend at Kim's grandparents, so gave the Curt a call to see if he was free, and met up with him, Fooby, Ed and Matt (and Curt's missus of course!) for the afternoon for the usual bit of banter, Ed talking about camber and getting all adenoidal, and of course what day would be complete without Fooby falling over!
Fooby had Kim's new crystals to fit, and while we were waiting for both Fooby and Ed to turn up (inevitably late ) so I was with Curt and his girlfriend and we figured we'd use Matt's car and the recent camping trip as inspiration for a few choice mods to Kim's car.
To start:

Soon after getting there, this came out

Fitted her crystals (thanks Curt for letting me use your tools!)

It's looking much better with the crystals, and the headlights are now actually aligned and are much better than phase 2s! I'm considering ninja'ing her sidestrips tomorrow too. I need to pop to Halfrauds in the morning anyway so may just do it while I'm down there as Kim's not going to be not going to be on the forum before I head over there so can't object if she doesn't know in advance
I helped Ed clean his car, got bored drying it though because every time I tried drying it he decided to rinse off the nearest panel and get the one I was doing wet again

Aaaand of course, Fooby fell over. He didn't see that there was a drop in the car park after a ramp into a building, and fell over between the van and wall

Good day out though, cheers again Curt for having us round yours again!
nah its very clearly purple in person. From a distance you don't notice it, it's a pretty subtle mod. Definitely think it'd work well with purple side strips and anthracite clones.

I'm kind of set on having purple wheels, although Scott has suggested the side strips! I just can't picture it!! I think I need a photoshop play first, so I can see what it will look like
I'm not looking to mess with the engine much, as it's pretty sound right now. Just a few subtle mods and I'll be happy!

I'm pleased you like it! Now that paint is a bit harder, it can be given a going over with some SRP or similar and then some wax... The cap strips will come up even better
So, today we went to Grant's and played with the cars.
Scott had some trouble trying to service the car, as the numpty who did it last tightened the sump plug too much. The engine was actually moving when he tried to undo it. Niall used 'brute force' and managed to get it off and the oil changed, so she's feeling much smoother now. There was a small disater though, when the oil came out too quick for the container and it ended up spilling over the top and onto Grant's drive
We were going to swap my cyclones with Scott's, as he's now got his Turinis fitted, so we could get them painted. Ever helpful though, the key for my locking wheel nut is nowhere to be found, so had to scrap that plan.
On the plus side, we sprayed my side strips the same colour as my badge and petrol cap. Love it!!
