Hi all, a lot of you will recognize this cars as its done its rounds on here
But its a phase 1 gti 6 in diablo red
This isn't going to be a major project just wanna do a few things and keep her clean.

All that i have done to the car is just gonna come out in one go as iv had it for a few months but only just got on the forum
Anyways first off i changed the oil and filter and made it noisier
 ![[Image: DSC_0210.jpg]](http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj551/wetsy1/DSC_0210.jpg)
looks bodgey i know but it does the job
Next up was to get a proper inlet pipe as the filter was connected straight onto the inlet manifold and was getting all the warm air which is not cool, the new inlet pipe i got was dogey and had a bit of a hole were the oil breather was attached, so que duck tape and cable ties
 ![[Image: DSC_0211.jpg]](http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj551/wetsy1/DSC_0211.jpg)
I do intend to do something about it one day and get a proper air filter as i have one of them mushroom ones but for now, Beauty job !

Next up was central locking, it wasn't working lol so i bought a key refurb kit and re configured the key or whatever its called and now it works so happy days im sure all off you know what a key looks like but just incase you forgot
 ![[Image: DSC_0069.jpg]](http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj551/wetsy1/DSC_0069.jpg)
There was also a very annoying squeak coming from the back off the car, i have no idea how the previous owner lived with it lol but it was a loose bolt on the exhaust bracket.

Next on the list was to sort out the swimming pool in the drivers foot well, thanks to tom and his no fucks given about his hoover approach it was soon dry and the aerial was sealed up along with the door seal being vased up, it all now seems to be ok
Im sure your all now bored of me jibbering on so some pictures of her ![[Image: DSC_0199.jpg]](http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj551/wetsy1/DSC_0199.jpg) ![[Image: DSC_0196.jpg]](http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj551/wetsy1/DSC_0196.jpg) ![[Image: DSC_0197.jpg]](http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj551/wetsy1/DSC_0197.jpg) ![[Image: DSC_0206.jpg]](http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj551/wetsy1/DSC_0206.jpg)
Oh and i was just wandering whos this is and if they want it back was found under the rear seats

Awesome Car, tidy example as well.
Think I remember it with Nimrods on a while back and it looked awesome then.

Hope to see it at the next South West Meet.

It's one of the cleanest 306's I've ever seen, and definitely owned. It was on sliver Nimrods when I had it, and white ones when Vaughan had it. The exhaust never made any noise when I had it (well, apart from the obvious ).

Be careful with the air filter down there in this weather, it's a puddle sucker. I had a PiperX straight onto the throttle body, never had any real issues with heat soak, just epic noise and throttle response.

It was on the the '6 forum, then Fozzy bought it, then I had it, then Vaughan.

Looking good though man, will keep an eye on this .
