Most people know this car its been around a bit
not a major project really just restore it to its former glory
First of all i started off by putting all the interior back in as it was stripped out completely
alot warmer and quiet/comfier now
also started removing all the stickers from the rear window (had a bit of trouble with the monster "M" so will be removing that shortly and also put some standard P2 rear lights back on it
random pic
Only problems I knew about and have so far are as follows so any advice appreciated
Blower motor doesnt work on any setting phil changed the blower motor but still nothing
rear desmister doesnt seem to work (elements seem good) switch lights up and i hear a click
heating doesnt work (assuming matrix although i cant see anything in the bay to look like its been bypassed to a strange one)
passenger window doesnt work.. switch has been eliminated so im guessing drivers door loom.
Thanks

If you had the time and weather before scrapping the silver one, I would (if I were you) strip out the dash and replace the whole blower unit and matrix. As there seems to be a fault with this one.

Have you tried replacing the variable resistor?. to get to it remove the scuttle panel on the rhf as if you were standing infront of the car, Mine is non AC but if its AC remove the pollen filter and you should be able to see it. Non AC there is a vent.
Hope this is of some help.
I have the same problem with the rear demister too.
PS The dash is a MOFO to get out

You're not wrong mate would of been a shame to see it broken just needs a little bit of TLC to restore her to its former glory.
after closer inspection the ac light and other light dont seem to do anything either as well as heater lights could this be the fuse? if so which fuse is it

IMO, I'd replace all the heater stuff, the control panel, blower motor, matrix. Think phill checked all the fuses and relays.

Check there's power to the motor, I don't know how far Phil went with trying to fix it.
Also. Just for me, change the thread title, to ph2 dturbo (4waydiablos old car) haha

Haha I will change it too something interesting.... Haha
Be easy to try and diagnose what's wrong after seeing if power is getting to it I think it could be a dodgy motor, replaced with dodgy motor

Nothing mate turbo was fubar'd on it had a replacement but never got round to sorting it out its currently sat outside my dads feeling sorry for itself stripped of the entire interior and missing various engine parts waiting to be weighed in
will get on the case of the heater motor and wednesday might have a go at sorting the passenger side window while im at it

I have a bit of a soft spot for this car but it definitely needs a big turbo back on it.

When I had the dash out of mine to swap heater blowers I'm fairly sure that the heater matrix itself is the same for aircon and non aircon models, the only difference is the heater unit that it's mounted in

quote doesnt seem to be working but
@ dum yeah i have a T25 on a manifold ready to bolt on in my shed but still not sure weather to go ahead with it or not it already has a 11mm and gov mod so should go well. just not entirely confident of getting it on myself and trying to set it up
@ pug nut i think that the non-ac models use a valeo type one and the ac use a BEHR i think the connector pipes slightly differ from the two
@ ozone yea i think they are slightly different shape i read a post from cwspellowe on another forum where they had sent him the wrong one and it didnt fit
