baz 306 1.9 estate
#1
well guys since the sale of the car fell through decided to go ahead and fix it all up
the car was actually my dads to start with he had it for a few year good few repairs been done the auxiliary belt shredded and came tangled in the pulleys resulting in the camshaft snapping in half the good thing was no bent valves so new camshaft along with new timing belt and water pump peugeot mechanic couldnt find the cause of why the belt shredded. few years later i got the car same thing happened TWICE but i caught it just in time so i decided to inspect the engine and seen that the top auxiliary belt tensioner spring was just holding on by a thin bit of metal the bush was totally gone inside and was causing the belt to sit squint so new tensioner spring and roller was bought and fitted along with new bolts. the rear axle on the car was totally done in so decided to buy a recon'd axle, new stub axle pins, new wheel hubs, new brake shoes, new handbrake cables, new brake hoses and pipes and new abs sensors and set about fitting it on once fitted i decided to lower it about 65mm at the back with some fk shortened dampers at the front of the car i replaced the shocks with some fk shortened shocks and 55mm lowering springs i then replaced the droplinks and track rod ends then i noticed the bleed nipples on the brake calipers were snapped so i decided to source some gti6 brake calipers and eventually found the right ones i fitted with new brake discs and pads. i had a laguna splitter lying in the shed from years ago and fitted it to the 306 which made the car look lower Big Grin while i was there i decided to seperate the headlights and mask them black. heres a list of the things i have done to it so far
lowered 55mm front 65mm rear
fk shortened shocks front and rear
fully recond axle with new hubs/bearings and stub pins
new rear axle bushes
new rear brake pipes from front to back
new rear brake hoses
2 new rear brake cylinders
2 new rear abs sensors
2 new front drop links
2 new track rod ends
new front drivers abs sensor
upgraded gti6 brake calipers
new 283mm gti6 brake discs
new gti6 brake pads
new auxillary belt top tensioner and spring
pipercross panel induction filter
custom air intake
inlet manifold sealed with high temp silicone gasket
headlights masked black
new front washer jets
back window dewipered
under car all treated and undersealed
406 v6 16 inch alloys dressed with 195/45/16 accelera tyres
front laguna splitter cut to bumper size

next thing am doing is to fix the bodywork 1 or 2 bits of rust nothing major and then get a stainless exhaust installed and then window tints
