Hey! Thought i'd make a thread cause I like documenting what I do and I like to show others what I achieve!
Bought it for £100, the interior was really messy and horrible, managed to get it looking newish, still needs some work done such as the seat being re-stitched, planning to get an aftermarket radio seeing as the one that came requires a code due to the battery being replaced.
Been working on the bodywork today using some compound to get some of the dirt that was completely stuck on the paint which actually worked wonders!
more will come soon!

Only things that are wrong is that the bearings on the timing belt are on their way out, it's not MOT'd or taxed.
I managed to get the rear lights out and give them a bloody good scrub, they needed it, full of dust etc. I dried them then applied normal household polish to the outside and they look brand new and are brighter, i'll get some pictures up tomorrow, it's dark now!
I'll be respraying the top part of the lights so they match the windows and trims soon.

last 4 digits off the barcode code ontop of the unit then add 1 to the 1st, 2 to the 2nd, 3 to the 3rd and 4 to the 4th digit and keep taking 6 off the resulting numbers till you end up with all digits being 6 or less then put it in.
Ie if the last 4 is 1357 then you add 1 to the 1st, 2 to the 2nd, 3 to the 3rd and 4 to the 4th digit giving 2 5 8 11 then you remove 6 from anything over 6 making your code 2525

Nothing has really been done to be honest, but I plan on getting some interior lights, can't decide which ones to get these or these?

Well, finally got her running again, thanks to a friend charging the battery for me!
Bought some RedEx this afternoon and added that to the fuel tank. Also went to the scrapyard got a manual for the car and a dipstick all for a fiver, pretty cheap to be honest. Also got the blue interior bulbs cause I love blue.
Going to order some blue tubing for my washer jets, the black ones that come with the car are horrible!

Dont mean to be a party pooper...but if they are that blue in reality, then 1) they wont be great for vision 2) they are illegal and a copper may have you for them!
awesome buy though otherwise...got it through an MOT yet?

They aren't dark blue, kind of a light blue, when I have my main lights on, they aren't visible. And not yet, hoping to do that next year.
With the main lights on;

Ah, they are your sidelights, not dipped headlights.
Rules still apply though, I would think MOT tester will pick up on it.

Ah, fair enough. I'm sure I could just stick the originals back in when I go for an MOT test haha.

Oh dear.
Still, what a bargain for a 100, it would have been a good price with a shot engine already at 100 to be honest.
Looks a nice car.

Manged to find a new aux belt on ecp thanks to Toms306! So hopefully should get that next week depending on if I can get some money.
Alternator needs to be replaced I think, should really check it with a multimeter but I don't have one, I assume it's f*cked cause it doesn't even charge the battery.
