Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Aaron35 - 19-06-2013 Hey! Thought i'd make a thread cause I like documenting what I do and I like to show others what I achieve! Bought it for £100, the interior was really messy and horrible, managed to get it looking newish, still needs some work done such as the seat being re-stitched, planning to get an aftermarket radio seeing as the one that came requires a code due to the battery being replaced. Been working on the bodywork today using some compound to get some of the dirt that was completely stuck on the paint which actually worked wonders! more will come soon! RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - ethanhp1991 - 20-06-2013 I do like white ph3 estates, keep the pictures coming RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - puglove - 20-06-2013 Bargin!!! Whats wrong with it? Lol RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Birk - 20-06-2013 I bet it's done loads of miles. RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Piggy - 20-06-2013 still....its worth more at the scrapyard!! total bargain. RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - kingy - 20-06-2013 mmm nice but as been said need more piccies. RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Eeyore - 20-06-2013 that stupid cheap and doesnt look bad at all! needs more pictures! RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Matt - 20-06-2013 Looks win! Nice an cheap too RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Aaron35 - 20-06-2013 Only things that are wrong is that the bearings on the timing belt are on their way out, it's not MOT'd or taxed. I managed to get the rear lights out and give them a bloody good scrub, they needed it, full of dust etc. I dried them then applied normal household polish to the outside and they look brand new and are brighter, i'll get some pictures up tomorrow, it's dark now! I'll be respraying the top part of the lights so they match the windows and trims soon. RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Dum-Dum - 21-06-2013 Bargain for £100 mate. RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Ricky - 21-06-2013 You know the radio code is easy to work out yourself right? RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Dum-Dum - 21-06-2013 (21-06-2013, 02:11 PM)Ricky Wrote: You know the radio code is easy to work out yourself right?THis last 4 digits off the barcode code ontop of the unit then add 1 to the 1st, 2 to the 2nd, 3 to the 3rd and 4 to the 4th digit and keep taking 6 off the resulting numbers till you end up with all digits being 6 or less then put it in. Ie if the last 4 is 1357 then you add 1 to the 1st, 2 to the 2nd, 3 to the 3rd and 4 to the 4th digit giving 2 5 8 11 then you remove 6 from anything over 6 making your code 2525 RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Aaron35 - 02-07-2013 Nothing has really been done to be honest, but I plan on getting some interior lights, can't decide which ones to get these or these? RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Aaron35 - 14-07-2013 Cleaned her today! Also started cleaning my engine bay and underneath the car. Purdy! (HDi Estate) - MarkTD - 15-07-2013 Mines called Purdy! Looks good for £100! (HDi Estate) - Aaron35 - 13-11-2013 Well, finally got her running again, thanks to a friend charging the battery for me! Bought some RedEx this afternoon and added that to the fuel tank. Also went to the scrapyard got a manual for the car and a dipstick all for a fiver, pretty cheap to be honest. Also got the blue interior bulbs cause I love blue. Going to order some blue tubing for my washer jets, the black ones that come with the car are horrible! RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Aaron35 - 12-12-2013 Blue dipped lights. RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Piggy - 12-12-2013 Dont mean to be a party pooper...but if they are that blue in reality, then 1) they wont be great for vision 2) they are illegal and a copper may have you for them! awesome buy though otherwise...got it through an MOT yet? RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Aaron35 - 12-12-2013 They aren't dark blue, kind of a light blue, when I have my main lights on, they aren't visible. And not yet, hoping to do that next year. With the main lights on; RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Piggy - 12-12-2013 Ah, they are your sidelights, not dipped headlights. Rules still apply though, I would think MOT tester will pick up on it. RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Aaron35 - 12-12-2013 Ah, fair enough. I'm sure I could just stick the originals back in when I go for an MOT test haha. RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Aaron35 - 13-02-2014 Well this just happened RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - RetroPug - 13-02-2014 Oh dear. Still, what a bargain for a 100, it would have been a good price with a shot engine already at 100 to be honest. Looks a nice car. Purdy! (HDi Estate) - devils_fuel - 13-02-2014 Billy bargain, I would deffo buy that for £100 if offered ! RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Aaron35 - 14-02-2014 Cheers guys. Hopefully I can give the engine a serious clean soon. RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - 7057sam - 14-02-2014 Awesome bargain at £100, shame about the belt though RE: Purdy! (HDi Estate) - Aaron35 - 17-02-2014 Manged to find a new aux belt on ecp thanks to Toms306! So hopefully should get that next week depending on if I can get some money. Alternator needs to be replaced I think, should really check it with a multimeter but I don't have one, I assume it's f*cked cause it doesn't even charge the battery. |
