Wheel refurbing, again
#1

Quick questions really.

Sanding all the paint off my wheels, but so I really need etch primer? Or can I just use normal? As no where sells it near me, unless I go halfrauds 10 miles away.
They are the vts alloys

The only thing worth doing with VTS wheels is:

Step 1: Poundland sand paper
Step 2: Poundland primer
Step 3: Poundland paint
Step 4: Poundland lacquer

Tongue

Seriously though, it doesn't matter all that much, standard primer will be fine!

Haha FYC Wink

Nice one, am bringing the paint completely down, making sure it's all smooth so hopefully won't be a problem Smile

The pic of the one wheel you've put up looks very well done.

The edges look like they need more work and the wheel itself looks like its showing signs of damage, it definitely isn't round anymore! Big Grin

Use etch primer! I used standard primer on my wheels and they are all f*cked up again! The paint comes off way too easily.

See, its not worth skimping on them else you'll just have to do it again!
Normal primer can't adhere properly to bare metal

Whats the primer like under the paint thats on them? If thats alright then just take it back down to that, the i would just put a fresh coat of primer to be sure and then the new paint.
