Turbo actuator
#1
Hi,

I was wondering if any people have had any problems or know of any problems with the actuator not letting the turbo boost properly?

They can get weaker after years of use, and can creep under load as the exhaust gases overcome the spring force on the wastegate.

So I take it that will mean less boost as the pressure will leak through the wastegate?

Sort of, some of the exhaust gasses are allowed to bypass the turbine, so some of the energy that would be used to create boost is wasted.
