the filth when I picked it up
interior filth
very quick wash
picked up 4 tyres for £35 today, get them fitted then its legal,
got new door cards to fit, window motors to fit, interior blower control is f*cked, not sure how to fix that one, anyone know?

Possibly resistor pack for the blower motor...does it work on full speed or not at all?

the fans work continuously at about half speed, but can't adjust the speed.
bits that need fixing lots and lots of cleaning, window motors and door cards replacing maybe a radiator, full service, front discs, tyres fitting then should be good to go

I'll nick the resistor out of my sisters boyfriend next time he's round, lot easier than changing the control panel over

Looks fooking good for the money, i struggle to find accident damaged ones to break for that sort of money!
On you heater, It sounds like the contact is fu*ked inside the control panel. Just take the front off the panel off (dial part) and put a screw driver or a bit of metal across the contacts, if that works then you know you just need to replace the inners

This is what you should find under the control unit.
And the copper bit contacting the gold bit is the problem i had.

samass Wrote:haha gotcha! get a 90* bend on it and either aim it at the floor or stick it up by the battery think its on standard pipe so heads towards the floor and bottom is bloted to gearbox, again where the standard should be I'm guessing, won't be too loqw like that then you don't think?
@ puglove thanks for the pics bud took it apart and the spindle had snapped, so popped a new cover in and jobs a goodun
tested my window motor in my mates car and the damn thing works!! just not in my car
so anyone got a clue what could be wrong with my wiring?
tested all the fuses, not sure if any relays could be responsible or not though? or some dodgey wiring somewhere?! mirrors work kind of if that makes a difference

The above is what we did on Matt's for the winter, I couldn't live with mine as low as some have them. Would make me nervous!

looked through some of the receipts and found original K&N 57i fitting kit and receipt, this says exactly how it is, plus its obviously been like that for years with no issues, the reason I say I refitted it was one of the jubilee's wasn't on correctly so was sucking unfiltered air.
also got a fog light out on that side so may add a cold air feed at some point, also got a load of thin sheet metal lying around so may fashion a heatshield also, no point getting loads of air in if its hot as feck!
anyway off to get tax and tyres, first day with the beast on the road

my filter is blue! I thought it was brown until I cleaned it.
spent a bit of money today, probably more than the car cost, and did a bit of work,
new spark plugs, winns injector cleaner ( god knows if it will do much?) oil + filter, air filter cleaning kit, tyres fitted and balanced, tracking sorted, oh and tax so all legal just went for a blast lot nicer after a service, although not completely happy they sorted the tracking right, goes a lot better after cleaning the air filter too
