Ive yet to see a good looking install incorporating a wheel :nope:
There's a pukka place for it next to the exhaust, under the car

That stuffs shit. It ruins tyres, rarely works and what happens if you have a blowout or a big puncture? Not to mention it stinks!

So finihed uni for year 2, WINNING!
So got home, and started taking the car apart to strip my injector.
IC off, fuel lines off, 27mm socket on and damn, too short ordered a new one, should be here by friday.
In the mean time, i set about spraying my bumper (all rub strips will be the same)
Again, i can't crack on with the other parts, such as moving boost gauge (with no running car to test it), installing quickshift (without a running car again..)

So, this arived today, happy as i was - very good shape and great workmanship on it. quite impressed...
Only thing is it was an absoloute PAIN IN THE ARSE to fit... perhaps it was my boost gauge? i don't know, but i had to cut my old vent to pieces; as the mount was too high, the vent has a small ridge (where the top 'points' clip into the vent, and the actual dash, and where it was high, my boost gauge would sit deep enough... anyway, just drilled the hell out of it, snips, and cut away enough to fit it.
AND my biggest achievement was rewiring it all by myself!
i know, doesn't sound much, but i was chuffed
Also had 4m of cable, for some engine re-wiring

Pic fail?
Bumper looks much better with it being re-blacked. Top work.
Also, why can you not do the quickshift if the car is not working? Just sit in the seat and make car noises if it helps lol

Ginge.............turn demo mode off on your head unit FFS
Looking good, the bumper crack I would fiberglass behind the bumper where you can't see it and then filler the front
Temp probe into the TMIC idea, if you want to give it a try I can bring you a top mount to FCS that you can have if you want it?
Car progress is looking good, as for weights inside the wheel............would you prefer them hammered over the edge of your wheel hock: Personally I would put up with them, if you having clearance issues with the brakes clearing the weights swap your wheels around so the ones with the least weights are on the front.

Yeh mark, it was where the HU had been unplugged, i dont enjoy watching what it has on offer
As for the bumper, when i head up to niall/grants , we're goiong to get some plastice welding on the back, the crack itself matches and joins quite well, so i may be able to get away with it. see what happens.
as for the wheel weights, most wheels have at least 2/3 weights on each, and if it was a small amount of noise, i would put up with it - but it's like i had a badger stuck to the wheels, witih a MENTAL thud every time the wheel took a rotation, at 30, its bad, 40.. scary.. and over that you can't speak...

I did wonder TBH mate
Fair play if your going to do it that way, I would key the back of it with 80girt paper and then line it up and add a few layers of fiberglass to the back of it to give it strength then maybe fill the crack with plastic weld and sand back flush.......
With the weights, it won't take long for the calliper to "machine down" the weights to a perfect fit, and if you think 2 or 3 weights is bad you want to look at my ronals........... hock:
