About half the cash is postage. I could of gone to a scrappers but at my local one all the steels are in a massive pile in no particular order so making sure I got 4 matching wheels could of taken hours measuring them all up.
The tyres on the wheels would of been useless as theyer the wrong profile to go on a 106.

I paid all of £20 to have a spare set of tyres i had lying around fitted, and they have been on both my old gti and the hdi and they are still going strong with plenty of tread. best £40 i ever spent
Dumdum- i got the guy who worked at the scrappy to find the wheels for me same thing a big pile of steels, but 406 steels he could tell a mile off.
So finally all my steels turned up and Ive decided not to paint them.
Im slightly worried about the person who last had my front wheels off as all the wheel bolts were so tight I had to stand on my longest breaker bar to undo them and there was PTFE tape on one of them hock: . Anyway the wheels look awesome. Finding it REALLY difficult not to be tempted to lower it. Will get a better photo in daylight. Think im gonna have to roll my front arches.

Sadly the 2 inner ports are a good 15mm out and none of the bolt holes line up. Really tempted but I I keep weighing up the options between modding this and getting another BMW and the BMW wins almost every time.

these are not a milion miles away from my rover metro at all!
topper little cars, as my mates lass had one simular to yours dum dum. took us about 3 hrs to remove a dash board out of one in the scrappy for hers. never got the chance to put the replacement dash in tho as she painted grey :o so it was mess! i put in a new radio ariel lead from a 306 in. very easy to do aswell! also i sored the carpet out too. double sided tape works wonders! looked well pro afterwards! my pal sorted the blowing exhaust too while i was on with the carpet. shame hers met a horrid end shortly afterwards |
