Okay, well as some of you may know I purchased a 1997 Nile blue Phase 2 GTi-6 yesterday.. It's done 110k and appart from a scuff on the front bumper, a mark on the rear and a paint chip on the drivers door it's pretty much mint!
I'll let the pics do the talking (Not the best but i haven't had time to take any decent ones yet)
Plans:
-Cambelt change
-Decent service
-Sort the suspension.. Unsure as to whether i want to go coilovers or just get some decent shocks and springs yet
-Put a nice exhaust on, possibly a sportex system as i have one on the HDi and i really can't fault it for overall sound, quality, price etc.
- Either black masks or Crystals
- Paint up the cyclones..
That's all i can think of for now but guaranteed i'll see lots of shiney stuff and my wallet will be empty!
Thanks for looking

Not really tbh! It's done less miles than the HDi and the HDi is 3 years newer!
Plans for the HDi are remaining for the time being... But as it currently stands i own them both

haha yes!
Power plans for this are really going to depend on how long it stays for.. if i keep it for a long time though then it's going to be having a BFO turbo!

Not that much of a fan of nile to be honest.
Get the 'clones sprayed up white before anything, only take you a few hours spread across the week and won't cost much!

$$$ Mate, that and the fact she didn't really NEED to drive but she will do soon so..
I wasn't sure on the colour either trent but it's grown on me, i was thinking about doing them white either that or an anth sort of colour maybe?
What's everyones problem with phase 2 eh? Phase 2 bits will be swapped out anyway i expect, number 1 being the headlights!

+1 for white from me. After the effort put in to do a reasonable job you want them to stand out, not match the colour of brake dust.
As for phase 2, if you want to keep it budget then leave it. Mark's (Airey) car is proof that ph2's can look p0rn0.
You've already got the ph3 front bumper which is the most important part imo.

Agreed with you there tbh trent! I expect the frosted fogs will get swapped out for rallye blanks and i'd love a set of black masks, will make the front end look epic IMO

The fogs look good if you ask me.
Maybe blank one and use the other as a cold air feed? Appropriate piping is cheap enough of eGay.
