Thought i should make a thread seeing as it looks like its going to be hanging around for a while
Purchased few months ago as a non runner for £400 but with the following good points:
- Tidy bodywork for age
- 9 months MOT
- New clutch
- gti6 interior
- new tyres
Aaaaaaand the following bad points of course
- Non runner
- N/S Door loom damaged
- O/S door check strap damaged
- Mark on front & rear bumper
So no time was wasted!.....
I lie, it sat in the carpark outside mine without even being looked at for 2 months but then with winter approaching i decided to get it sorted. Dropped it off at my mates garage and anxiously awaited a big bill..
Received a call 2 days later.. "Alright mate, pugs done. ECU was knackered but i had a spare HDi in the yard so swapped it all over. £100 sound ok?"
So now the car is fully functioning and only owes me £500! Winner!
Pressed it into daily service immediately

What is that mark on the front bumper? Looks like bird shite but obviously isn't lol. Is it lacquer peel in a very specific odd area?

Ah fair enough then, not seen one peel there before! May've started with a stone chip though. Looks tidy otherwise!

Thanks all
Fitted a decat pipe after work on friday then had the car stage 1+ mapped yesterday. Difference is night and day! soo much nicer to drive now.
Think i shall be adding a small FMIC as and when time allows just to compliment the map. Need to sort a knocking beam mount first though!

If i don't get any in at work i'll bare you in mind my man already found an intercooler so just need pipework
EDIT: forgot i also pinched the wind deflectors off the rallye and fitted those, along with mist washer jets over the weekend little things but makes an improvement!

In an interesting turn of events this has found its way back to my ownership! Albeit in much worse condition than when it left
Will update more when i get my teeth into it but i couldnt see it be passed around like so many of them do so bought it back.
Things that need sorting:
Rear window smashed
Rear beam knackered
4 Tyres
Discs & pads all round
Wishbone balljoints (may just replace entire wishbones)
Smashed foglight & cracked front bumper
Interior rough
Then it just needs an MOT and maybe some more subtle modifications before i decide on keeping it or selling on again as i really have no need of it.

Trust me when you have a Megane RS DCi175 as a daily the appeal of a HDi just withers away I just didnt wanna see it go to waste.

It looked very good! Unfortunately its going to require some paint before it looks like that again which is the expensive bit!
I have got all the mechanical bits to put it right at work fortunately which i can sell to myself for a good deal
