Ok.
Well go see some other projects...plenty happening.
I have just about the time to do this stuff in the first place, video it, edit it and upload it...seems all a bit pointless to take a bunch of photos at the same time and write up exactly what I have done in a video...
Plus takes even longer then to actually get stuff done.
I appreciate peeps wanting to read and see lovely pictures...
Just not guna happen so much.
If that means you go follow another project, I can live with that

Nice to see some pics on the thread, I do like a good bore. They look ok to me, just gonna give them a refresh then and sort the lip?
crank sprockets are a nightmare for getting damaged when pulling, had exactly the same when i rebuilt my xud, sure someone can sort you out.

Yeah just a quite refresh. Is slightly glazed in few spots...amazing the condition of this engine tbh.
It had some serious abuse in its life, ragging everywhere. It had done over 100k too. But all bearings have been good and those bores are not bad at all tbh

Perhaps you'd get more people talking with shitting pictures and a write up, rather than wasting your time on videos!

Some advice for you then, which I imagine you'll really take onboard.....
Don't complain about how long it takes to make distinctively average videos, then complain no one is commenting when many people have said they'd prefer pictures and a write up!

I am not complaining about no one commenting!?
Couldn't give a rats tail. I enjoy doing this project and the videos...I'm not doing it for other people.
Hows the cactus?
But just for those that wana sit there and read...
In the last 6months I have spent hours and hours and hours and hours of research and info searching...which is all super boring.
I have spent time cleaning stuff with brake cleaner, also super boring.
I have done lots of other boring stuff that no one cares about and is a waste of mb on my camera to take a picture of.
I have bought a bunch of parts...most stored away...but happy to take pictures of the boxes and shelf... If so required. Some of it is boring. .a gasket here and there...some is interesting and when I want to unwrap it and fit it, I will decide then if I want to take a picture or video of it.
In the meantime...go read about someones detailing weekend on their bmw or about a rusty rover
Ratings out of 10 for my write up are welcome and will be completely ignored

For those who like pictures
Box of boost...chra of the GTB20. Joe did a cracking job...cleaned it all up, serviced, lapped the thrust bearing. Checked tolerances. Then balanced it all up. He did this whilst being in/out of hospital.
And all for £45 inc return delivery. What a legend.

Wow. This has been longer than i realised.
A special package arrived from Station Motorsport yesterday. Final major part for the engine build...
And a deposit has been placed on the vehicle which will be 16v'ed...
So things should start to happen again soon!

Started a bit of work on this...trying to do a little to each project at the mo as I'm feeling quite overwhelmed...plus long work days dont leave me with much...
But started by cleaning all the valves...ALL the valves...ruddy 16 of them...
Inlets were the worst...
Next job...lapping them all
