as title really. ive been after an xud9 head to 8v one of my 2.1 engines, xud7 one has come up just down the road from me for essentially free. anyone know the physical differences between the two?

sorry man dont mean to hijack your thread but why put the 8v head on the 2.1 and not the 12v head on a 1.9

Stronger bottom end, more common head for parts, leaves me with another complete 2.1 to put in wife's car or sell, not done very often and why not. All of the above really.

To start with...inlets are different for sure.
Let me check on couple other things before I commit...
Ok not as I thought...seem to share same valves.

xud7 inlets are the same as xud9 on the turbo engines, different on the N.A versions.
I have an xud9 inlet on mine at the moment.
I Don't Have A 306.
