xud7-xud9 head diffrences - bashbarnard - 28-02-2016 as title really. ive been after an xud9 head to 8v one of my 2.1 engines, xud7 one has come up just down the road from me for essentially free. anyone know the physical differences between the two? RE: xud7-xud9 head diffrences - blinkyeatu - 29-02-2016 sorry man dont mean to hijack your thread but why put the 8v head on the 2.1 and not the 12v head on a 1.9 RE: xud7-xud9 head diffrences - bashbarnard - 29-02-2016 (29-02-2016, 06:47 PM)blinkyeatu Wrote: sorry man dont mean to hijack your thread but why put the 8v head on the 2.1 and not the 12v head on a 1.9 Stronger bottom end, more common head for parts, leaves me with another complete 2.1 to put in wife's car or sell, not done very often and why not. All of the above really. RE: xud7-xud9 head diffrences - bashbarnard - 29-02-2016 Also does anyone actually have any information RE: xud7-xud9 head diffrences - Piggy - 29-02-2016 To start with...inlets are different for sure. Let me check on couple other things before I commit... Ok not as I thought...seem to share same valves. RE: xud7-xud9 head diffrences - bashbarnard - 29-02-2016 hmm well if the xantia manifold fits thats still fine RE: xud7-xud9 head diffrences - Piggy - 29-02-2016 No, it doesn't. Port shape is different RE: xud7-xud9 head diffrences - bashbarnard - 29-02-2016 well thats knocked that one on its head then. doesnt matter ill get an xud9 one from somewhere RE: xud7-xud9 head diffrences - Danny Wideboy - 09-03-2016 xud7 inlets are the same as xud9 on the turbo engines, different on the N.A versions. I have an xud9 inlet on mine at the moment. |
