Hi, from Norway.
I bought a 306 last year, that I'm planning on using as a daily after I get it through the "MOT", so that I can start doing some bigger stuff to my other project.
The main reasons for buying this car was how quick it was, kind of a "sleeper" (I think it's only 6 or 7 GTi-6's on Norwegian plates, so it is not the kind of car we expect to be fast), got it for a fair price, and to try something new.
It has upgraded cams (unknown type), Piper exhaust, cone filter, OMP sway bar (front) and Spax coilovers, and the rest is original, as far as I know.
Before "MOT" I have to change the coilovers back to original, weld in a cat (removed) and get rid of some rust under.
I don't have any experience with these cars, so if anyone got some tip for special things I need to look after, and things thats typical for these cars, let me know.
If I know myself, then it's gonna be "small" changes here and there, every now and then, on this car too.
Got a Laguna lip for it, but haven't had it mounted yet.
And my other car, where my money goes. 1989 Volvo 745 GLT 16valve.

Glad to see that you like the Volvo.
I've changed the whole interior from beige to black, changed the sunroof from steel to glass. Headlights are changed to US-type, original volvo styling skirts.
I'm on my third gearbox, and second rear diff. I got a new rear axle for it with LSD, which I think will help on the fun.
Bilstein Racing shocks, lesjöfors springs (swedish brand), 25mm/1" sway bars in front and rear + top sway bar.
Brakes are slightly upgraded.
Homemade exhaust 2,5" all the way, with equal length headers and racecat.
2DIN head unit and four 6,5" speakers in the doors, two 6x9" speakers in the back along with two 12" subwoofers, makes a great noise.
A lot of minor changes as well.
The engine is mostly stock, but produces about 160hp, at least when it was new.. But it works here on the tight norwegian roads, sits pretty well on the road.
But ofcourse it needs a turbo, so thats the plan for it. I'm not going crazy with 700-800hp, but around 400hp and I'll be happy.

Better to just get em approved at vegvesenet, than buying new standard ones?
Love your 306! Pretty meh about volvos, but I can see you've put alot of work into it. And that I respect
Seems like you can get mostly anything approved in a volvo

Got a mail from them, that it wasn't a TUV approved set, so I have to put on original ones..
As a Norwegian I understand that you're "meh" about the volvo because it's such a normal car here. Unusual to see a GTi6 here :p It's possible to get a lot approved in a Volvo, but much of it takes a lot of paperwork.. In other words, you have to know what you're doing.

Nice 306 too
Maybe because the B234FT has never been made by Volvo :p There is B234F(2,3L N/A) and B204FT(2,0L Turbo), out of those with 16 valves.
I got the B234F, 2,3L N/A 160hp.
Thanks

Aye, volvos are pretty common. But that means there are alot of experienced people around as well. Which is good!
306's are very rare though. Specially 6's
The Norwegian peugeot forum is dead, so I'm glad we got this forum! Looking forward to more updates on the 6

I'd think about finding some light 15" wheels. You could lose 16kg easily of rotating mass and it will transform the car.

Ive got a similar armrest in the 306. It was free from my dad and its bloody useless tbh, im glad it didnt cost me anything. Its ok to rest lightly on, but mine flexes loads under any real pressure. That one youve linked looks to have a wider spacing for the fixings on the base so it maybe a little sturdier
Wagon looks awesome. Good to see another retro volvo-pug 306 owner on here. My 360glt is waiting for boost too, but only a boring b230ft.

Tried on the laguna lip:
I got these springs with the car when I bought it. Are they supposed to be like this? :p
I think the coilovers has been on the car for a while, because they are STUCK.

A lot of weight reduction on this car (rust)
What's this for?
Edit: Found out it must be some kind of alarm trigger.
