seems silly when the relay is rated to 45a correct me if im wrong but the fuse is supposed to be the weakest link I know they use 60/70a as standard but i didnt like the idea.

Relays are rated for their switching current - it'll probably be able to handle more than its rating steady, but it's over its switching current...
That's a guess mind..

As Ruan says. Plus that will be 45A constant. Its possible i would imagine that it could easily spike above 45A when dry steering for example.

But if anything its going to be a hinderance rather than extra protection.
It will spike above 45a and it won't damage the pump if its at 60a. Peugeot would not of just bunged in any old fuse lol

Working out fuse sizes is probably the simplest of things to do with the right kit. Most of the issues with Peugeots wiring is poor routing or protection.

Slow updates on the 205 lately mainly due to axle work again. I had been loosing water since pugfest slowly but was never able to determine where it was going. But within the last week it had been swallowing the header tank within a few miles. Luckily i managed to find it the dodgy zip ties to hold the fan on had pulled on the core and split it open so ordered a new rad but this time i ordered what they called the extreme version. 65mm wide core apposed to the standard 36mm core.
Then i dropped it straight round to my friend for a few modifications such as fan bracket and header tank return.
Got a phone call the next day saying it was done very rare for him when over and collected it.
Delivered as he always does, got it mounted along with a new fan.

small update,
Im still tweeking with the map slightly to try perfect it for everyday use and try squeeze abit more drive ability and mpg out of it within safe area.
In other news i have moved the als button from the steering wheel to the top of the satchshift, easily more reachable now.
Ive also fitted at led light bar to the intercooler mountings for winter to give more light. Wired in to the oem spot light wiring with a waterproof multi plug. Its 72w and draws all of 4 amps and sits in a metal casing, Not everyones cup of tea but it does the job.

Ive started more work on the 205, Ive been looking for a certain valance for well over 4 years now mainly for it shape and style.
So this is a zender front valance not sure were it was made but i was luckily to find a genuine item :
Originally it would have had slats but they have been cut out by previous owner but suits me fine.
Managed to get it test fitted to the car wouldnt fully fit due to cooler.
Car is now at jek for custom intercooler and alui hard pipes along with new intake pipe for the charger.

Its always had 2.5" piping, routing is easy hes already mounted it and only reason for the size is that it was the smallest size available in these cores as they are very decent quality.

Still a fairly chronic fmic at 200 x 750 x 70 odd, must feel bigger than it looks in that photo. Reckon you'll see much reduction in IAT?

update
Popped over to see the car today, intercooler is finished and mounted and work has started on the boost pipes and intake pipe.
he has made a new charger intake flange with a tappered pipe work and a intercooler shroud to force the air though the intercooler. Also dug out my new wheels and started to paint them up hope to fit some new yoko a048's to them as i can get them dead cheap through work.
Hopefully better pictures when i get the car back.
