im installing some "Vibe EDGE ED306" crossovers (linky.. http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/edge-street-ed306.html)
before installing these ive mounted the tweeters in a direct replacement for standard ones
so a before shot..
start by popping off the cover and unscrewing using a T25 Torx the 4 speaker screws
next, using a flathead screwdriver, remove the window switch and disconnecting
Once removed there should be a T30 Torx behind to remove
2 more T30 to remove, one found behind a rubber bung
remove the door handle surround trim (already removed in my pics)
then get in between the card and the door metal and prize it all apart, theres quite a few clips running the perimeter of the door card
pull away from the bottom like so..
then lift up to remove
and in true haynes style....refit is opposite to removal
Speakers
mine came with a small crossover unit to be put behind somewhere, using the double sided sticky pad provided i wedged mine up here
and connected to the speaker wires
and connected one of the feeds to the door speakers and the other to the tweeters
wedged all the wires back in the whole and put it all back together
Useful links
door trim clips part number : 6966 39
and the speakers i used, highly reccomended for budget
