Good to see you saving it, my rallye is going to be getting a similar treatment but I'm hoping to go even further with stripping the bay nad painting it back up.

Update my gearbox decided ti s**t itself and p**s out all of its oil just after fitting my coilies too!!
Luckily I had a spare which I refreshed with new sesls and fork bushes before it went in.
Piccy of it leaking
And the damage...
Good effort lol
Done it once and was not right so had to move box back again and realign clutch fork!! Defo two man job to get it in with the clutch would of made it alot easier lol
Decided to go back to my bilstien b4 (brand new) and eibach pro springs,as the coilies are far to stiff for the roads where I live but handled brilliantly!!!!
So they wil be up for sale now to recoup some money!!
also back rollin on standard clones, which i refurbed myself as sold my 7" 1.2's.
also got a new alloy catch tank fitted as fed up with my ram air getting soppy with oil lol and fitted my polished inlet, looks awsome!!
Also fitted my machined throttle body, seems to have better throttle response so winner, also the resonator and been welded up,not sure why tho??
More to follow.....

Been ages since iv updated this thread lol, fair bits been done ...just changed the cambelt/waterpump and put a new aux belt on,running lovely!!
Also purchased a recently rebuilt xsara vts beam, which is lowered...a fair bit lol
Just picked up some freshly powder coated cyclones and fitted them, and gave it all a polish so shes looking sweeeet atm!!!
Also had some welding done today on the box sections in front of the front jacking points, been repaired before but no drain hole was drilled.....muppets lol started to get really soft,so thought id get on top of it before gets bad.
So all good now and protected once more so im happy again. Lots of other stuff been done new berlingo p bushes (although had to buy more as the local roads love destroying them!!). New set of braided brake lines all round aswell, gotta get pads soon for the front now tho.
Had a new nissens rad and the little securing fingers that hold it secure a d new slimline fans as cheap nasty ones ruined my old (5 months old mind you!!) rad as the blade started to protrude...grrrr!!!
Other than that hunky dory!
Few pics.....
Before beam change..
after....
new and old.....
and on,had new shocks fitted since also ....
Got rid of rear brake compensator as was rusted up
Rad damage and fan....
Mullered p bush lol
How she stands after fresh clones and good polish....
and welding...
ahh that is all for now.....

all going well atm gonna get a service kit for it as due soon, had a rattle from the front and also pulled hard to the right when i broke hard....not so good lol
got the front up in the air and discovered it was the brake pad rattling about :/ hmm i thought so unbolt caliper and low and behold sliders seized up!!!
unseized slider, cleaned aswell and the carrier and re-greased and hey presto amazing brakes once more and better....no more rattle, did the other side for good measure!1
just bought a set a coilovers from jaymes306 bianca as with my new beam the front, although on brand new b4's and -30 eibach pro's, is fairly high compared to rear so these should settle that nicely, not going stupid tho just needs to be about 10-20mm lower on the front. should feel more balanced hopefully aswell as the front feels abit soft for the rear now if you know what i mean.
also got the bmc cda filter and mounting bracket he had for sale aswell, been after one for ages heard good thing about thems and can get good cold air feed to it now.
that will b e replacing my ramair open filter i have on atm which also is very good i think.
more to follow.....

Looks a beaut mate Is this the one that was for sale around Farnborough on eBay? If so, you outbid me in the last seconds! lol
Glad to see its been saved and its looking great.
You will love the B8s. Id recommend Eibach springs but some use H&R and say they are just as good. Personally, I'm not a coilover fan and i found that my car actually handled substantially better on the B8s over my old D2 coilovers.
